Shin Budokai News...
Shin Budokai News...
This is a very sad day for all of us that were hoping for a good DBZ game from Dimps for the PSP that would play like B3 with in-game transformations. Just today, pics have been released showing that their are no in-game transformations, and the producer of the game is the same guy that did DBZ Sparking. What does this mean? It means that it's NOT a port of B3, and more of a modified Sparking.
The pics are available here: http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/drag ... pid=924588
Sorry everyone if I just ruined your wishes for the game.

In the interview with Ryo Mito (also on GameSpot), he mentions that there will be in-game transformations..gotenx wrote:Just today, pics have been released showing that their are no in-game transformations..
From what I'm reading in the interview, and what I see in the screenshots, it seems like there will be in-game transformations, and players will be able to start out in different forms if they wish. In my opinion, that's the best handling we're going to get of the transforming system in a DBZ game. Not to mention the fact that it's still being done by Dimps, and the graphics are distinctly Budokai.. It almost seems like it's going to be Budokai 3, with the best elements of Sparking!! thrown in (Freeza has his discs! YES!). Hopefully, this will truly be the refinement of the Budokai series like they said. I can't wait.Ryo Mito wrote:Plus, each of the 18 characters found in the game can transform into other forms. For example, in battle, Goku can transform into any of the following forms: Kaio-ken, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, and Super Saiyan 3. Each form has different attacks.

This is something we don't need, but how can it play like Budokai Tenkaichi? It does look like a Budokai 3 game. Dammit, Tenkaichi just wasn't fun!
EDIT: For some reason, I just don't think that journal was written by Ryo.

There is ingame- transformation. Just read this :
http://www.playfrance.com/psp-Dragon-Ba ... tails.html
It's in French, so if you can't read it, i'll sum up the important parts:
- Ingame transformations
- Based on the 12th movie "Fusion" (But other important characters like Cooler, Brolli etc. will join the character roster).
- Counter telleport (like in Budokai 3/CE ) will return.
- You can take a super boost (name: "Sayan Overdrive System" ) for more speed.
- Bonus mode: You can draw cards by using different ellements, given in the game. You can send these cards to an other player if you want to.
- release date is 14 april on PSP (this might be for Europe, not sure abouth that).

WOW, that is a lot! In Belgium, you can now get a PSP, and one fixed game (you can't choose it) and one game you can choose (out of 4 selections) for 279 euro.desirecampbell wrote: Still $300 for a handheld system - oh well
Well not that I care for that, becuase I just don't like the PSP. I am more of a Nintendo DS boy. but it's nice for people who wants one.

You already have Greatest Hits Budokai 3, maybe you can give a comparison review between the two games after you get Shin Budokai? I think we'd all be interested in the differences.Slickmasterfunk wrote:Well I've had a PSP since they came out nearly a year ago, so there really isn't any reason for me to not get this game. If I'm the first one I'll be sure to tell you guys what I think of it since it's still listed for a US release date of March 7th.

And it's £180 for just the PSP in Britain, then again you could save money by forgotting about the double pack and just buy a game off the shelf.Pedro The Hutt wrote:Er.... €279 equals $331, so I think the PSP is more expensive here.

Back on topic! Based on Movie 12, eh? I guess that would hint at no SSJ4...
