Why does Tao Pai Pai charge so much?
Why does Tao Pai Pai charge so much?
He charges so much to kill people but then he says that paying for stuff makes him look weak. So what's the point of charging so much money if he doesn't seem to use it?
Re: Why does Tao Pai Pai charge so much?
Because charging that much makes him look strong and guarantees whoever he fights is worth the money. I imagine if he was cheap like nay other assassin then he'd fight all kinds of weak rift raft.

I think he just swims around in it Scrooge McDuck-style. Also comes in handy if, for instance, you suddenly need to turn yourself into a cyborg.

He sends the money to his brother to fund his martial arts school.
Of course, Tsurusennin spent it on a little white painted boy-whore named Chaozu to keep his best student from straying.
But as you can see, the money is well worth it. And eventually Chaozu was doing it for free and Tsurusennin could take up a hobby. White water rafting, I've been told.

Funny how he was very close to the Karin tower at the moment of his demise. If he had been nice enough, he could have gotten his hands on a Senzu bean instead.Herms wrote:I think he just swims around in it Scrooge McDuck-style. And he would have kept his man-parts. I like to think that his anger was mostly because of that he lost them, because how could you be angry when you have become an awesome cyborg, and much stronger at that?
That would apply to Freeza too. I mean, we don't really see anything dangling down there during his fight. But when his lower body was cut off, he probably lost some internal genitalia as well.
If I were Freeza, I would thank Goku for making it possible for me to become a stronger Cyborg. But alas, no funky parts left would cause anger in any male or female.
I mean, 17 and 18 didn't seem that angry towards Dr. Gero. And they got to keep their genitalia, plus became stronger. We know at least that 18 has working genitalia. Maybe she got them enhanced too, since she got pregnant after, most obviously, only one session in the bed with Kuririn.
And Cell had the right reaction when he became perfect. He gained two generators, effectively making him into a cyborg, and also two extra pairs of genitalia. The female parts made him more peaceful and calculating, and the male parts made him more adventurous and ballsy.
When he reverted back into semi-perfect Cell, he simply was mad because of the loss of his female parts.
And I believe that it explains everything in Dragonball, and that we all can agree on that. I mean, "ball" is even in the title.

Short answer: Because he can.

Exactly. He's motherfucking Tao Pai Pai, the greatest assassin in the world, and a proud graduate of the Tsuru-sen School, of whose leader he is a brother! You worthless peons should know better than to question the Lord Tao Pai Pai's costs!Kaboom wrote:Short answer: Because he can.

How do you think they get there? The Tao Pai Pai City Planning Office and Construction Company.Piccolo Daimao wrote:He can just break that shit off of random buildings or whatever for no cost, though.penguintruth wrote:Pillars. Lots and lots of pillars.
He's got crews building pillars into constructions all over the world.

He's the (evil) Black Jack of the dragon world (a subtle nod by Mr. Toriyama to Mr. Tezuka perhaps?). He is a mercenary that is the best at what he does, so he charges a lot. Not only does it keep up appearances as the world's greatest assassin (since he doesn't come cheap), but it also gives him the extra air of callousness and greed suitable of a villain of his stature.

Re: Why does Tao Pai Pai charge so much?
Maybe since he's meant to be the worlds greatest killer he charges a lot so he doesn't have everyone asking him to kill people therefore he can have some time off.

Excuse me.
This thread contains a mention of Freeza's implied cloaca.
Also, Tao Pai Pai charges so much because he's good at his job.
That is all.

He's saving up the money so he can go to America, and study dancing in New York.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

It seems Freeza has something that looks like a hatch beetween his legs. Why can't he have a cybernetic genitalia?Godo wrote:That would apply to Freeza too. Because he is a dick. He can bully people and no one can stop him.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Why does Tao Pai Pai charge so much?
Artificial does not biological make. I mean, at first, it would be cool to have robo balls and a robo penis. You could use it as a pickup line. In Freeza's case, he would be able to boast about his cybernetic genitals; it's so futuristic! He is the only one rich enough in the universe to be able to afford that.Fox666 wrote:It seems Freeza has something that looks like a hatch beetween his legs. But in the end, Cooler would taunt Freeza for not being a "real" "man", as well as his father. There is no getting away from that. I mean, here we have two rival brothers. One loses his manlihood. It can't go over well.
And what about having his own son? I like to think that the reason King Cold wanted Trunks as his son was because of that Freeza never could continue their line.
I know that it's really complex, but it's really simple at the same time.
About Tao Pai Pai, though. If you can get a lot of dough doing what you love, you make sure you get a lot of dough. The guy wasn't a saint, remember that.

But then Freeza just uses his robopenis to rape Cooler, saying "What's the matter? It isn't real, so why are you crying so much?"Godo wrote:Artificial does not biological make.
