I suppose this would mean Uisu has fighting capabilities of a sort. Not really surprised.

The non-watermarked scans were here:
http://nintendoeverything.com/110706/dr ... n-scans-3/
but the pages aren't loading atm. Maybe someone will fix them later?

I feel like Uisu's going to be the more magic-based fighter of the two of them. Casting spells and all that. :3
Looking forward to it!

I regret that I did not save copies earlier when I was doing that bit of translating. Since I hadn't seen anything that looked like a spoiler, and since it was mostly Heroes stuff, I didn't bother to save. ^^;

Ah well, at least these scans being online means that someone with interest in DB has a copy of the magazine and may soon get around to scanning the pages that deal directly with the movie.

If you ask me I'd say Uisu looks like he's got his fists ready for a fight.

Yes... I liked where that was going.

Ironically... I believe Vegeta's most popular armor here in Mexico is the first Saiyan Armor he wore. The reason might be because we got like three re-runs of the Saiyan Saga + 1st part of the Freeza Saga before having new episodes aired.

Alright, alright. I would say that my visual "canon" for Vegeta would be like he appears as in Movie 12/Movie 13.
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

I don't get it either but no matter, I'm a firm believer any idea can work no matter how ridiculous and implausible.
NeoKING wrote:I don't get it, but I don't see how a fortune-telling fish can be entertaining just because "it sounds Toriyama-ish." GT has a transforming tanuki and a planet that makes the capitalism of America look like a game of monopoly. Are those Toriyama-ish too? I'm seriously asking. But, then again I never really found Toriyama's silliness to be funny. I'm one of those fans who really like the action in DB rather than the toilet humor.
I believe it's all in the timing and delivery. GT tried to combine the whimsical humor of DB and more "matured", serious action-oriented storytelling of DBZ but it backfired because nobody wants to see bits like Goku acting like an ignorant fuck anymore. Not to mention GT wasn't exactly the most subtle (and witty) joke-teller, it's silly soley for the sake of being silly. Scenes like Goku taking off Bulma's panties were funny because of Goku's innocence throughout the entire ordeal and Bulma being none the wiser, but bits like Trunks dressing as a bride and Para Para Brothers are a big no no. Seriously, it's like a six-year old wrote the "jokes" for GT.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

So, it looks like you have to scan the QR code in an upcoming April issue of Weekly Jump to fight Bilus.

I don't know why, but Saiyan-Island really annoys the hell outta me.

They remind me of that one website that use to copy-and-paste everything from Daizex and re-post it.

Agreed. Same goes for DB-Z they cut/paste everything this place posts and translates it to French.

Posting something first doesn't give any website the right to watermark images they do not own. Besides they didn't even post it first, that Nintendo site did.

Yes, it is because Kanzenshuu does not do that and it's completely irrelevant.

Oh, it is. Because I'm talking about the old Daizex, not Kanzenshuu. They posted some images they didn't own.

I don't have a problem with pages posting pictures they don't own, but when they watermark them it really irritates me.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Since the Oscar's are around the corner, this got me thinking.. what is the possibility of Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods being nominated in the Animated Feature category in 2014? I believe in terms of anime, only Spirited Away has won an Oscar's in like 2002 for that category, so the chances of BoG winning is slim to none, but it would be awesome if it was at least nominated. This is going to be a worldwide movie, after all.

I bet my left arm it won't.

As popular as it is in the West, it's still niche. I mean as shit as Dragon Ball Evolution was, you think people would've just turned up to support the franchise anyway. For my screening, me and my brother + mum were the only ones.
