I guess I'm one of the few who prefers Sparking's "no in-game transformations" thing. It means I no longer have to do some sort of super-combo followed up by a "Simon"-style button-matching mini-game (which has a good chance of being thwarted even if I do everything right on my end) to become Gogeta. The worst part was that you could only be Gogeta for like 20 seconds at a time after all that. Way too much effort just to play as a fusion character, IMO.

Technicaly that was not an 'in game' transformation but it was really annoying.
What would be good is if you could transform without the need to be above a certain gauge and start from what ever level you want. Come on, even you "do not like in-game transformation" people should think thats a good idea.

NOTE: I was not trying to sound patronising there but my list of expressive vocabulary' is thin.

I think a way to deal with that so everyone is happy is to include "Perfect SSj" (where Goku and Gohan could be SSj effortlessly) as a capsule or something in later games so that you can transform to at least SSj without having to worry about your Chi.

Nice but If I ever had any direction over the game I would change the way all the games handle ki. For example how many times do you see the characters actualy power up? Only at the begining really and thats it. I would have the 'ki' button as a source of a power up method to increase your attack or stats. I would probably have bigger Ki gauges but they cannot be replenished. I would also make it so that if you powered up to 'maximum' power you will slowly burn ki or you're stats over time.
So I might steal you're cool idea on 'perfect SSJ' Kendamu

While you're at it, steal a skin of Gohan from the Bojack movie. I like seeing the orange on him.

That is true. :P
I just mean, it's another thing that has pretty much ONLY been in a Budokai game, and no other fighting game, that people were disappointed in not getting, and making a big deal out of it. :)

It's a little different from the duel mode issue, since the transformation issue affects actual gameplay / authenticity of DragonBall, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

It bugged the hell out of me for a while... but I got over it when I played arcade mode. Duel Mode is reserved strictly for 2 player mode, at least they had the foresight to add arcade mode... :/
