Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again

I'm actually really sick of hipster TFS hate. I love the original DBZ and yes, while it gets tiresome when I'm trying to host a panel on the show and all people want to talk about it Abridged, it's only because Abridged did SO well. It's genius, really!

Ok, you urge fans to not have their humor spoon-fed to them and enjoy the original show. No reason to dish on people who made a parody so well thought that it's competition to the original! That's an amazing accomplishment.

I don't mind TFS references if they're used well, i.e the to comment for this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L34V9OL6flw

It's not TFS itself that's annoying it's people constantly posting the TFS dialogue for that scene on a DBZ clip and getting top comment for comments anyone could have posted while slightly more original comments get cast aside. I dread to think what it will be like it a few years time when TFS is even more popular.

Shueisha's super-secrecy regarding BOG despite the release date being only two months away. It's really frustrating for someone who likes spoilers like me. (Or in the very least, new vague information to talk about.) I'm so used to the spoilerific episode titles for Z that this is just a strange situation.
We still don't know who Uisu really is. (Just Birusu's assistant? Or his creator counterpart? A makaioshin? The true villain of the movie? )
Even the 2ch thread has wandered into off-topic-ness in the wake of a lack of info.

On the subject of TFS I'm sick of hearing people say how much better the TFS voices are and how Funimation should use them instead of the cast they currently use.

Oh I totally agree, but I just don't think TFS should be seen as "jerks" or in a negative light for being successful. Many of my friends are elitists and really grind my gears by blaming the creators of franchises for problems that exist in a very small part of the fanbase.

I could do without another Toriyama interview where someone asks him who his favorite character is.

Check out the interview with Tōru Furuya that was recently posted on the site.

They're good VAs and it'd be cool if they could do official work for companies but in regards to TFS voices, they only fit the comically exaggerated versions of the characters depicted in the parody.

LK as Freeza is awesome though.

Difficult to imagine fandom without Battle of Gods now, isn't it?

I kinda like how they're keeping Uisu's identity a secret, but at the same time it's kind of annoying since I can't see the movie on release date.

You're free to dislike TFS but how are they "jerks?"
It's a force of habit. Don't take it personally.
You use the word "jerk" without meaning to imply people are actually jerks, or that you can't help thinking of TFS as jerks?

Now that I've gone a whole week without any updates (last big update was the VJump issue this past Sunday night) outside of a note in Weekly Jump #9 that there will be something about BOG in Weekly Jump #10 (so new info Tues-Wed-Thurs-ish this week?), I definitely have gotten a glimpse of what it'll be like after things die down again. @_@

I don't need the whole thing spoilered for me like OPZ was, I just some more hints about exactly what I'm in for.

I'm planning to purchase the animanga for BOG to tide me over for a while (once a listing appears for it). I have the one for 08's "Ossu!" special. It's not nearly the same thing as the movie itself, but it's the closest you can get legally outside of the theater.
On hiatus.

As someone who doesn't mind the lack of information... I could go for a few more hints. The thing has got me so intrigued.

Aiy, my sense of humor doesn't transfer as well across the internet as it does in real-life. The boys back at home would have found that funny.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Well, this is more based on seeing, but I never ever ever ever want to see those Sparking Neo/Meteor!! character artworks ever again. They just piss me off for some reason!  In a non serious way of course.

I feel like most of these problems would go away if people just stop reading Youtube comments...
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

That play-on-words existed long before those jerks coined it. Just saiyan.
I hate that "pun" with a passion. It doesn't even work unless you automatically mispronounce the word "Saiyan" in your head as you read it, making it nothing but bizarre nonsense unless you deliberately get a key term from the series wrong.

I knew I needed to go back and read more than just a few select of those interviews, I miss out on stuff like this when I cherry pick.

That said, even if it's from Toriyama...I have a hard time believing Yamcha was really a cheater.

I hate being informed how DB/Z was an adult anime with cursing and sex. No it wasn't. Just because you like it as an adult doesn't mean you should try justifying it by saying it's meant for adults.

Tired of the "over 9,000" garbage barrage. It's not funny anymore. Maybe if it wasn't done so often.

Tired of people reading TFS as if it's the greatest thing ever. Yeah it's funny, but when people try to use it themselves, just show their lack of originality.

Can't stand when people "refuse" to acknowledge GT. "It never happened!" It's an officially released, licensed, animated, voiced, broadcasted international anime. It freaking existed. Especially when that person wants to turn around and peddle his stupid, boring, unoriginal, poorly-written, crapfest that he stole from AF (irony) fanfic.
I'm sure there's more.

I don't think anyone's flat out denying the show's existence (save for maybe Youtube commenters). When people "refuse to acknowledge GT", it's likely generally in the sense of their own personal canon/fanon. Many people, myself included, base its lack of an original manga basis with its common mistakes and headaches as reasons for its exclusion.

It's perfectly fine if those two details don't ruin it for you. But in my case I simply can't "acknowledge GT", as Toei showed the events, as what I believe really happened to the characters after the Buu arc.
