Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
Neko Majin is a parody of Dragon Ball.
Seriously, I'm not saying that it takes place in the same world, but calling it a parody of DB is like calling the Dr. Slump (remake) a parody of Dragon Ball because it has some Dragon Ball references & cameos.

Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I like him too even though he serves little more purpose than being pure cannon fodder. One little insignificant fuck that's been getting under my skin for the longest time is Chaozu. Does he ever think about anything other than Tenshinhan?AnzuMazaki wrote:Yeah it does go downhill (not just for Yamcha but for most of the other humans as well especially Lunch, Tenshinhan, Chaozu and the minor characters Goku met during Dragonball etc)
but Yamcha has done stuff to help in Dragonball Z as well, he tried to help fighting the saiyans and Cell, he also helped Goku get to home and then to Roshi's while Goku had the heart virus.
He may have not won, but at least he did try to help the Z-warriors during the saiyan battle and the Cell Games that still counts as something to me, one of the fans he has left.

I do wonder why some fans are so keen on hating characters like Yamcha? Its not as if they ever did anything cruel or bad in the series, especially compared to the actions of other characters.
Finally, there are other things that matter in the series besides fighting.

Just 3 things I never want to hear again:
-Japanese voices sound gay/like little girls etc.
-Kid Buu is the strongest Buu.
-OVER 9000!

It's his overall character and lack of important moments in the story that make him unlikable.Ninja Murasaki wrote:I do wonder why some fans are so keen on hating characters like Yamcha? Hmm. I feel he has a very interesting character and several important things to do... and I like him because of that.

How is his overall character unlikable? What did he do to deserve hate? Uselessness doesn't count either. Bulma's mom didn't do shit but you don't see jokes about her.

Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
not really a thing I don’t want to hear again but what I hate is:
people who bash or attack fans of a particular version of Dragon Ball.
fans who purposely deceiving each other eg. Dragon Ball Hoshi.
I also hate that reoccurring "i hate the Japanese version of Dragon Ball because Goku is voice by a woman" thing

The difference is that there's not much to expect from Bulma's mother whereas Yamcha is supposed to be strong and is one of the main fighters yet he serves little more purpose than to be a human test-dummy.Insertclevername wrote:How is his overall character unlikable?
