I guess If I really wanted to see the movie, I could drive out to freaking Chicago to see it, which by the way is like, 8 hours from me  . Oh well, I can just buy it. Especially since it comes out on DVD the same day as a certain game I've been waiting to come out for about 4 years! :D

 I almost died when I saw Louisville, then noticed it was in Colorado. Anyway, why the hell not Nashville?

EX, if you want to drive five hours to Kentucky, count me in.
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

Do you guys really hate the dub that much? So I'm guessing you prefer Japanese mono over English 5.1. Really if your going to see DBZ in the movie theater why would you want to listen to it in 2 or one channel sound?

... I'm lost. What're you talking about? Pretty much everyone who's posted here wants to see the movie in theatres. O_O

Yes, I honestly dislike the dub that much. Combine that with the fact that movie 12 was one of my earliest fansubs and I know every ounce of dialogue, music, and sound effects by heart... I really have no interest in having that trambled by a dub I wouldn't like, anyway.

5.1 sound does absolutley nothing to impress me when it's something I don't want to hear in the first place.

On a somewhat random note, the state of fandom continues to shock me when in 2006 I have people questioning why I want to listen to the Japanese audio track.

*gong* :)

Now people are saying the dub is better than the JP audio?

Everything's flipped 180 degrees.

They finally have one showing within 30 minutes of me... too bad the place is a craphole and a nightmare to park in (Pasadena, CA). :x

I've already tortured myself with the dub already on dvd. No use in listening to it again with larger speakers and a whole bunch of annoying kiddies.

*Sighs* If only I hadn't moved, then I would have just taken a 30-45 minute drive to NYC. Ah well, buying the DVD is better for me anyway. :)

I never said the dub was better.... The Dub background music is still sub-par, But I have grown fond of the English cast that I have watch progress over the last 6 years. The Japanese music is beyond cool, especially the character themes and intros. I am just saying I would prefer to watch the movie with out head phones on…. Sry to rant.

I would see it twice, once in English 5.1 and once in Japanese via iPod. Sucks there is no theaters near Philly...

Is anyone even gonna stick around for "The Return Of Cooler"? I sure as hell hope they don't play it first because I don't feel like sitting through it. It reminds me of when Dragonball Z would be on at like 5:30am and I'd have to sit and wait for this crappy cartoon to end for DBZ to come on.

Yeah, I figured we'll stick around for it. I ripped that audio track, as well :P. I like movie 6...

I've been under the assumption they're playing movie 12 first.

I went to the Chicago showing last night, and while I plan to post about the whole experience later.

I can say, that movie 6 is shown FIRST

I saw the movie this morning at the ImaginAsian theater in NYC. Needless to say it was completely awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed watching DBZ on the big screen. I found movie 6 only slightly boring at times, seeing as how I really wanted to get to the new movie but it was still a great viewing.

Now the best part of this experience is that the theater was empty. I mean it was literally empty. My dad and I were the only ones at the 11:30 AM showing. We had the entire theater to ourselves, not to mention we got a bunch of cool swag to take home. They were giving out free DBZ T-shirts and movie 12 DVD covers. For $15 total we got 2 free DBZ shirts, six covers, and about 500 seats.

Now that was worth it. :D

Damn. I really want to see it in theaters but NYC, the closest one to me, is still 5.5 hours and 333 miles away. Way to far for a DVD I can get bilingual in a week. Damn.

Since I don't wanna drive out in the cold and go to a crap theater with bad parking, I'll just watch the japanese version on the dvd tonight. :P
