Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Gohan: That dinosaur is dead. [writing off to the side of his speech bubble says "a frozen reptile"]
Kuririn: Yeah...
They're obviously referencing the lyrics to Chala Head-chala with that first line, but it's not worded quite the same way as in the song (which goes "if there's a dinosaur" rather than "even if").

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Should I just post small tidbits? Are whole pages a taboo kind of thing? Just wondering.

People have posted both, so go for it. Though, it's advised you state why you want whatever you want translated, for context's sake.Nazi Cola wrote:Should I just post small tidbits? Are whole pages a taboo kind of thing? Just wondering.

Yeah, I did that, though none have come forward with translations. I thought I did something wrong by posting whole pages. I'm sure there's a reason for it, though. Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
It would be so awesome if there was a translation of all the Dragon Books. Not telling anyone here to undertake that lol I'm just saying I would at least think that somewhere online that would exist. Doesn't seem to.

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
So Fox666 posted this screenshot from the now defunct Toei website for the DB/Z movies. It's a page from the site's "Movie Dragon Ball History" section, and deals with DBZ movie 13. The first paragraph details how the movie explains the origins of Trunks' sword, the second paragraph talks about how Hildegarn is strong but only the second strongest movie villain after Janenba, and the third explains Hildegarn's name pun. Predictably, someone requested that I translate the second paragraph, so here goes:
OK, I guess that's more of a run-on sentence than a paragraph, but whatever. And I can't figure out a way of wording it that doesn't make it seem ambiguous whether "that makes him No.2" refers to Hildegarn or Janenba, but it is supposed to refer to Hildegarn. At any rate you can still see from the descriptions of the two what they're going for: Hildegarn fights evenly with SSj3 Goku while Janenba kicked his ass. Among other things, this assumes that SSj3 Goku is still as strong in DBZ movie 13 as he was in 12, maybe a stretch considering half the point of the movie is that Goku has this awesome new attack. The idea that Hildegarn was even with Goku is perhaps also questionable. Well, whatever. The phantom majin Hildegarn is a formidable opponent capable of trading blows evenly with even Super Saiyan 3 Goku, but since Janenba from the previous work "The Rebirth of Fusion!! Goku and Vegeta" could beat back Super Saiyan 3 Goku, strength-wise this makes him No.2 out of the movie series enemies.
No, not really.Fox666 wrote:Is there anything interesting about Vegetto or Gogeta in these pages...?

I still want to know how that could/would have happened in the timeline of the Trunks who has that sword.Herms wrote:The first paragraph details how the movie explains the origins of Trunks' sword

Is there anything useful/interesting about Gogeta, Vegeta, or Goku on these pages?

Hey, I wanted to know a bit about Bills so I rounded up a few scans on him. Somebody said I could ask you to translate Herms so I hope your OK with translating what is being said in a few scans about Bills and Whiss. One thing I was told is that Bills can destroy an entire galaxy, do any of these confirm that?

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
All of those scans have already been gone over here at Kanzenshuu, either by me or Julian. Look through the Kanzenshuu news archives for them. Nothing has been said so specific as Bilus being able to destroy an entire galaxy; there's just been vague hype about him being the strongest being in the history of Z.SSJRyu1 wrote:Hey, I wanted to know a bit about Bills so I rounded up a few scans on him. Bills being able to destroy an entire galaxy comes from Piccolo's comment in the second trailer for the film.SSJRyu1 wrote:Hey, I wanted to know a bit about Bills so I rounded up a few scans on him. Whoa. Jeff Jarrett. I thought Sting fired you.
But, yeah, I'm gonna second Herms' little suggestion about perhaps stating exactly why certain people want these things translated, since it helps give a reason for why we should do it. I mean, I'm seeing a lot of these "Someone translate this about Vegetto" or something else, and it tends to make me think straight away that someone just wants an argument for a "Z'OMG, Power Levels" thing. I might just be coming off cynical here, but I can't help but notice this rise in interest about Vegetto's power after the Death Battle thing...

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
I'd like to think anyone and everyone who's been a hardcore DB fan would like to know about something that was probably supposed to be known before but never was until now. Vegetto being said to have powers surpassing that of SSJ4 is something that was pretty much unthought of to even be considered in official supplementary material. I can see why anyone would be interested in it, and if it's really a true statement said in the guidebooks or whatever.Lord Eeyore Haw-Haw wrote:Whoa. Jeff Jarrett. I thought Sting fired you.

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
I think they said Vegetto is stronger than Super Saiyan 4 (Goku), to show how powerful the Potara Fusion (and fusion in general) was compared to regular transformations. Also, Vegetto is the combination of the two most powerful Saiyans in the DB history and the two who fought during the Baby Saga, Goku (the Super Saiyan 4) and Vegeta (the one infected by Baby). Also, the anime comics was released right after the Baby Saga, before Gegeta's appearance in GT (and before Vegeta becomes a Super Saiyan 4 of course).

Could anyone translate the two extra pages from Episode of Bardock? I'd like to know what they way & what's going on.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
