Suno is kind, brave, and intelligent. Chichi is either flighty or prone to violent bursts of rage as well as being very irrational. So yes, I do prefer the ginger to Chichi.

Bulma isn't exactly the deepest person ever Pre-Artificial Human Saga. Besides, Vegeta didn't kill anyone on Earth only Nappa did and his "bad boy" attitude is the reason she got down n' dirty with him in the first place (same case with Yamcha) plus unlike Goku, he's steadfast.

That's like saying Charles Manson didn't kill anyone. True but irrelevant. Vegeta was the man pulling the strings and was trying to kill everyone but failed due to our heroes. Vegeta's death tole probably puts Mao and Stalin's to shame. I'm not sure what you mean by steadfast in this context.

Goku only looked "chubby" because he was muscular, and that was before Toriyama-sensei's art style developed more refined muscle tones. There were also a bunch of kids that didn't look fat back then.

Suno may seem more rational but she doesn't have the fiery will of a saiyan (she lacks the borderline-psychotic passion for romance). I'd like to see them to switch roles.

I would think that after Gohan (which I assume Chi Chi had to trick or convince him how to get that far in the first place), he had to know what sex was. And he probably even liked it...but it's not the focal point of his lifestyle. Fighting is (followed by eating).

He was surprised to see Goten even existed, which implies when he did it with Chichi before the Cell Game, it was not with reproduction purposes.
Probably more like "enjoying it one more time before the big event, in case something happens". Plus he had been gone for a year with Gohan in the Room of Spirit and Time, you would understand he'd catch up when coming back!

That's part of the interesting evolution of his character.
First, he thinks cars are monsters, years later he casually drives one on his way to shopping with his family.
First, he doesn't know how a girl has a different anatomy than a boy, years later he casually has sex with his wife from time to time.

I think Goku is probably asexual. I can't imagine he would've ever, at any point in his life, wanted a girlfriend. Chichi was, as has been mentioned, kind of an accident. And with her super-traditional ideals of family, she probably pressured him hard to have kids.

Why are so many depicting goku as a intellectual underachiever? He's not a rocket scientist, but he's more than capable to do cognitive demanding tasks at hand, planning how to fix up a tricky situation, resonating abstractly. Sure, he lacks social graces and he's careless at times, but that's more of a personality trait rather than a lack of understanding in general.

Anyhow, I do believe goku is interested in sex, he's just not the type to show it very openly.

The anime portrays him as a retard, but in the manga he is not so obtuse. For example, he offered Bulma to Rou Kaioshin.

He knew what other people love it. He was offering Videl beforehand as it was nothing. He really doesn't think much about the whole affair.

Regarding the "Akira Toriyama doesn't want to write romance, so that's the only reason why there is none with Gokuu," belief, I think it can be said that Akira Toriyama /is/ Son Gokuu to an extent, and is thus in-character for him to also not to be interested in romance or libido.
