I'm getting tired of hearing about RB3. Seeing that the second game bombed, a third game is likely never going to happen. It's odd that people want a third one so badly when people getting tired of the same shit when RB2 was coming out.

Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z certainly seems to have this level of obsession with the main character Goku, although it isn't shared. Also of note is that another villain, Freeza, is prone to this in the US dub, both being voiced by a woman with a raspy old lady voice (like a flapper?), and using blatant sexual innuendo towards Goku.

The primary reason why Vegeta is so obsessed with Goku is because Vegeta is notorious for his desire to kill Goku after a disgraced many times. As the Prince of All Saiyans, he wants to prove his superiority above everyone else and that especially includes Goku, the ones that he mentions is always a step ahead of him.

Using the dub is also not accurate. You can't honestly expect Freeza to have some sort of attachment to any Saiyans whatsoever.

Yet Goku still remained with his wife after the event. Goku may respect his rival, but his family and friends takes priority over Vegeta.

That doesn't indicate that Vegeta would be attracted to Goku in a romantic way. He could be simply saying his name because of his frustration that Goku is always a step ahead of him and Vegeta's struggle to overcome Goku.

- In the non-canonical movie, Vegeta hilariously shouts "Kakarotto Wa Ore No Mono Da!!" when Android 13 is beating his rival to death, and charges in to protect Goku. The context of this sentence is "Kakaroto is MY PREY hands off him", but "Ore No Mono Da" is usually used by jealous ex-boyfriends to say "belongs to me".

Read the bolded. This should not be taken seriously as canon material.

One thing about TVTropes which frustrates me is if you go to a page for any specific show, there are LOTS of tropes listed without any examples given. Even if it is a common trope which would be impossible to list each and every last instance, the least they can do is provide some examples so people know what the bloody hell they're talking about or how they are relevant to the show in question. Some tropes are basically just "a rose by any other name" duplicates, which is also annoying.

With that said, I've gotten lost on there reading some of the stuff.

I think I understand what you're saying, but there are usually enough tropes listed that the "blank" ones don't bother me.

I think the relationship between Goku and Vegeta is pretty reminiscent of the Jean Val Jean/ Javert hateboner.

Although TVTropes is full of shit I find the website a great source for killing time and they've said a few things I've wholeheartedly agreed on. A recent offense I have against them though is that they consider Piccolo and Chi-Chi jerks (with hearts of gold that is but still...).

It's simple. They list tropes which link you to a page that explains it and you see how it might apply to the show. Did you not see how they were colored blue?

A recent offense I have against them though is that they consider Piccolo and Chi-Chi jerks (with hearts of gold that is but still...).

Piccolo (Junior) is a jerk prior to character development (and even in the Cell Saga, he can be pretty stand-offish for some) and while Chi Chi's heart is in the right place, her tongue's undeniably sharp (Anime-wise mostly but the Manga at times too) and her temper can get lost (though jerk isn't the word that comes to my mind). Plus, I wouldn't take the trope names too literally in this regard.

Also Your Millage May Vary (durhurhur, seewatididthar?) but TV Tropes being full of shit is pretty stretching it. You don't have to like it but still...
