I can't see how it would be a deliberate choice when he appears that way in the trailers. Promotional art I could buy, but definitely not actual footage that's supposed to be from the film.

The fact some fan had to point it out just goes to show they had no clue and pretty much forget it altogether and that's kind of sad to be honest. I honestly wish no one said anything about it so that it would have been left totally unexplained why he's a SSJ in the movie just like GT. The fan outcry would be hilarious to see.

If everyone jumped at Toriyama for C-18's hairstyle saying "NO!!! What are you doing, she's not like that!!!", I can't imagine out of all the staff - how many are they, 100, 200, 300 people maybe? - no one would be able to point out what any fan could point out.

Much like that super shot of the Goku in the middle of nowhere like we saw at the start, there may have been sequences of movie totally created/modifed just for promotionnal purposes.
You do what you gotta do to bring people in theaters, even if you have to create alternative scenes of movies to fake-show them "look at everyone turning into that well-known blond form you know about even when you're not familiar with the franchise!! If everyone turns like that at the same time, the situation must be pretty serious!!!"

But hey, we'll never know, you might be right, maybe it WAS a mistake and they did have to perform an emergency correction given massive fan backlash.
It seems unlikely to me, but it is indeed a possibility!
If that's the case, it proves they truly want fans to feel that it's 100% compatible with the manga, removing any element that could bring doubt upon it!

But of couse, some other fans consider it is totally impossible (especially for an extended time like a long fight), and that Bardack's example can be explained by some sort of air conduct linking the ship to the planet, allowing troops to invade it - and also making them able to speak, cause it's hard to pronunce word without air coming from the lungs!

You know, if it is not explained in the movie and if fans are unhappy about it, I'm pretty sure the staff - or maybe even the fans themselves - will come up with the following explanation:
since Goku has acquired the status of God, that gives him the possibility to be in space without any problem like Birus, regardless of whether he's transformed into Super Saiyan God or not.

Actually, comparing Bardock's position to real life he's actually in between the stratosphere and stratopause in his usual depictions so not actually outer space, but a lot of people make that mistake. Actually, it could be argued that Bardock is just fine where he is due to his planet having a much higher gravity than Earth meaning Vegeta has an atmosphere that extends much further out into space compared Earth due to escape its gravitational pull. Goku's position in all the trailers and clips seen so far is somewhere in the stratosphere since he's still close to the Earth (relatively speaking) in the background so he technically shouldn't have much problem if at all near that part of our atmosphere to be honest. Now if Goku's hanging out with Birusu further out in space like at the edge of the exosphere for instance then Watanabe has some serious explaining to do.

At some points Goku was the strongest. At some points Vegeta was the strongest. At some points Piccolo was the strongest. At some points Gotenks was the strongest. At some points Gohan was the strongest.

This is likely no different, and if it's something you're going to get hung up on, you can rock back and forth in a corner with Volume 42 of the manga all by yourself while the rest of the community enjoys the movie!

Seems like it, we're gonna have a direct canon comparison between Mystic Gohan's and SSJ3 Goku's fighting ability, I never thought they were far off to begin with

What I REALLY wanna see, is Vegeta make it to SSJ3, seriously, the biggest thing to happen with Dragonball in forever that legitimately continues the story, and Vegeta is still stuck at where we last saw him? WTF, that sucks
