I must say, the video quality is pretty damn fan-friggin-tastic. The dub was "okay", the music wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, nor was Janemba's English VA (though there were moments where Kent Williams just didn't sound right in the first form). I was disappointed in some of the dialogue written by the DBZ writer everyone loves to hate, Christopher Neel. He went just a bit overboard with some of those "yaoi"-ish phrases (I made a loud gulp at the extending finger comment, among others). The voices though, besides Kyle Hebert's oddly forced Pikkon, were pretty damn awesome in their own right. Sean Schemmel's screaming talents never cease to surprise me, and Chris Sabat's "Dictator"; my God, I didn't even know it was him (laughed my ass off at the "blonde hair, blue eyes" bit

Though with as interesting as the dub was, the Japanese version blew my socks off. Sure the video probably isn't as jaw dropping as the dragon box's will be, but my goodness it was good enough to wet my whistle. I absolutely loved watching it full screen, now knowing I was getting more of the picture than my cheap fansub's cropped letterbox format was giving. It was positively fangasming, and I'm glad I found out that the movie wasn't done in stereo before buying the DVD, as I would have been confused as to the mono. The video quality was, IMO, fantastic, regardless what the anal dragonbox fanboys will say, as was the audio. Big props to Steve Simmons for giving the sub an awesome-as-always translation, you did a fantastic job, Daimao.
I was a tad disappointed in the lack of DVD extras, I mean with as much hyping as FUNi did around movie 12, it made movie 8's look like zilch. From Budokai Tenkaichi, to the PsP's Shin Budokai, and even its own theatrical showing, I guess all that kind of gave me something "Extra" to look forward to. But hey, I'm not really upset about it, considering they gave some decently written character profiles and relatively okay trailers (though I could have done without the Degrassi one), it was an okay attempt. DVD extras aside, I love the Japanese version in this uncropped, Daimao subbed format. Hell, I bought TWO DVDs of this thing, that's how much I love it.
Just for the hell of it, I'll give a listing of everything this DVD features to those curious on getting it.

EDIT: Just to let everyone know, the Waves and Rocks logo is present in the feature, though for an odd reason, it sports the "wide-screen" black bars.
