Will Movie 12 Ever See a German Release?

I know that a lot of anime and manga gets translated into German (like Neko Majin Z), but I'm wondering about Movie 12, because of 'the Dictator'.

I'm not too familiar with German law, but isn't 'unpatriotic behaviour' a jailable offence? And does that also pertain to TV and film?

If so, would Movie 12 be edited, or just not released at all?

CUT.

I have the french version, which is done by the same company that does the german version. All direct scenes of hitler were cut, however the cross is quite ancient and was in use before hitler nicked it so that and the tanks were left.

Hitler DID look like Hitler, it was just a lil' too much...

Nah, I think Germany leaves out everything refrencing Nazis or Hitler, though I'm not sure.

Movie 12 and 13 were released "long" ago. Polyband (the company which released the movie DVDs) called the DVD "DBZ the movie - Fusion and Dragonfist". Both movies are on the DVD but ONLY in German. It's no Japanese track on it.

Nekoni is right. AB (French company) have the DB license for whole Europe. That means that all other companies must buy their material from AB. Since AB did cut movie 12, there is (probably) no uncut movie 12 in Europe.

I think, if Polyband got the uncut movie, they had released it uncut. The "dictator scenes" are comedy. Even Hitler scenes in some Simpsons episoded are uncut. There is no problem with comedy or comic stuff like this when the 'Hakenkreuz' symbol is edited.

The problem with computer editing though is that it was dubbed quite a while ago, and AB're quite low budget. Heck, for most of DBZ all the yells were still in japanese...

Is it just me or was the nazi symbol edited from movie 12? Years ago a rented a fansub and I think I saw the symbol where hitler has the x on the funi's release and, if so then its not uncut is it?

Seriously, though he may have been a horrible, mindless killer, this parody is just for laughs, so it really shouldn't be censored out in the first place. You can't deny the man existed. What happened to 13 Million people?

Nice one, Conan. Though I'd say Earth's DBZ population would be more like 1 million. It is the year 700 something, you know.
