"Wait, that's not right..."
How many of y'all have noticed moments in DBZ where, even if it is an anime, logic just doesn't apply?
For example, in movie 12, when Janemba's throwing razor-sharp ki blades at Goku, Goku hides behind a floating rock and his shoulder is cut, while the rock itself is sliced in half. By logic, his whole arm should've also been taken off. =/
Basically things like that.
And please try to keep the "Ah, that silly filler" responses to a min.

That's not illogical at all. Goku's a lot tougher than a rockB-kun wrote:How many of y'all have noticed moments in DBZ where, even if it is an anime, logic just doesn't apply?

If Goku can be hurled into a mountain, destroy it into pieces with just his flying body, and come back alive but being slightly injured, then he can sure enough take lesser damage than a rock.B-kun wrote:By logic, his whole arm should've also been taken off. =/

This board is not for irrelevant and sarcastic responses. Please stay on-topic and either appropriately answer the question at hand, or don't respond at all. Thanks!

How about how #18 has a kid? And yes, I am kidding.
Anyway, I have a couple. In *gasp* DBGT, Vegeta gets a haircut and a moustache. At Kami-sama's palace, almost 30 years previously, that a Saiya-jin's hair does not change from the day that he is born. ??? Also, in DB, Goku gets healed at Karin Tower after his battle with Piccolo Daimou with some medicinal herbs that heal injuries in one day. Why not just use Senzu? And why are these herbs never used again?

But Nappa has a moustache. Unless Nappa was born with it, Vegeta's comment about Saiyans not suffering from hair growth seems a little odd.In *gasp* DBGT, Vegeta gets a haircut and a moustache. I've always taken it to mean the hair on his head (not facial, body, or pubic hair) never changes. But then there's the Bardock special, where Vegeta has bangs (see here).Domon wrote:But Nappa has a moustache. I've come to the conclussion that while a Saiyan's hair may change while he grows, it doesn't change after he reaches adulthood.

Good point desire. I mean, we can even look at Goku's hair style. As a kid he had even wilder looking hair with more "spikes," and bangs. However, after he grew up, it changed and he had fewer. Could be coincedence, but it's the same general principal. I mean, once it changed, that was that.desirecampbell wrote:I've always taken it to mean the hair on his head (not facial, body, or pubic hair) never changes. Yes, but this could also be contributed to the fact that Toriyama's art style changed quite a bit over the course of the series. I mean, if you look at the Kanzenban, Goku has the same hair he has as an adult.t-bone135 wrote:Good point desire. I mean, we can even look at Goku's hair style. And, of course, there is GT. As a child Goku also has the same hair.

Oh, and here's another thing: When Kuririn, what happened to the dots on his forehead? His hairline was high enough to show at least some of the dots. Thoughts on this?

That may very well be the case(and I don't think there's really anything against it), but that moustache issue is brought up quite a bit against GT, despite that there has been a few Saiyan with moustache seen over the years(such as Paragas and King Vegeta).I've always taken it to mean the hair on his head (not facial, body, or pubic hair) never changes.
Moving on... does dub weirdness counts? One of my favorite is where Vegeta and Nappa says that a whole city was evacuated, even though people were standing there just moments ago as it was blown up.
This would have been a plot point de-railed I suppose, but how come Goku didn't just teleport to West City with Trunks to go get the Dragon Radar in the Buu saga, rather than turning SSj3, wasting all his time on earth, etc.?

I've always gone with my own theory that when Shen Long removed the explosive elements from the Androids' bodies, that anything dwarfing their inner ki's was diminished from that incident. I mean think about it, how else could the androids give Goku their ki when Goku was creating the Genki-dama to use on Buu? So that's what I go on, Kuririn's wish not only removed the bombs, they accidentally made the Androids' ki sensable.Tsukento wrote:Here's one that defies logic..though is part of GT.
Trunks comments that 17's "Ki" is similar to 18's. How the hell would he know if the biggest problem with the Artificial Humans that the Z Senshi had to deal with was the lack of Ki to read and find their locations?
Regarding movie 12's incident with Goku's shoulder and the rock being sliced in two, remember B, Janemba had his own hold on the Afterworld. Logic didn't even exist. I mean, if Vegeta went to Hell, why didn't he get to return to Earth with all the other inmates?
