World of Dragon Ball Exhibition
A recent news post on the Battle of Gods website details the contents of the exhibition:

Don't know if it's anything new.

Re: World of Dragon Ball Exhibition
Hmm... a little bit more detail than before.
Now that it's certain there'll be a gift shop, I wonder if they'll sell a companion book for this exhibition, like they did with the old World of Akira Toriyama one back in 1993–’95.

Re: World of Dragon Ball Exhibition
I must say the Five-Star Ball: Treasure Museum section is what I'm most looking forward to. Hopefully there'll be some neat and new tidbits presented that have been unavailable to document here on the site. Also, some of the old anime and manga fairs would give away promo CD's and games, which would be amazing, on top of a potential companion guide like Julian pointed out.

Sounds interesting! If you live in Japan, this might be worth checking out.'World of Dragon Ball' Exhibit to Open in Japan in March
Exhibit collects 300 items spanning manga and anime's history
To celebrate the opening of the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods film on March 30, an "Akira Toriyama: The World of Dragon Ball" exhibition will be held in the eighth floor hall of the Nihonbashi Takashimaya store in Tokyo from March 27 to April 15.
The event will display 300 different items related to Akira Toriyama's work on the Dragon Ball series, such as cel art, original color illustrations, and similar production materials. There are seven different areas of the exhibition, in homage to the story's seven dragon balls:
Dragon Ball I: Dragon Ball Complete History. This part will look back on the work over the years.
Dragon Ball II: Character Wall. An introduction to over 400 characters who have appeared throughout the series.
Dragon Ball III: Original Comic Art Gallery. 200 original manga art pieces were selected from the 10.5-year, 519-chapter series, including all the pages from the first and last chapters as well as memorable scenes.
Dragon Ball IV: Color Illustration Gallery. About 30 color illustrations personally drawn by Akira Toriyama are on display.
Dragon Ball V: Dragon Ball Treasure Museum. A display of rare Dragon Ball materials.
Dragon Ball VI: Anime Gallery. A selection of production materials and cels from the world of the anime.
Dragon Ball VII: Theater Corner. Dragon Ball-related video screenings.
There will also be an onsite shop with exclusive exhibition goods and official tie-in items. Tickets for the event are 800 yen (about US$8.70).
After the exhibition closes in Tokyo on April 15, it will open in Osaka from April 17 to April 23, followed by Nagoya from July 27 to September 1. Publisher Asahi Shimbun-sha is organizing the exhibit is collaboration with Shueisha, Toei Animation, and the film's produciton committee.

I just noticed that the news story was posted on February 28th on the official website. My apologies for jumping the gun there.

Yeah, this has been covered on the site already. I'm not certain, but I suspect the history section will be a big exhibit version of Daizenshuu 7's timeline of the DB universe, rather than a history of the DB franchise. There was precisely this sort of big display of the DB timeline at Jump Festa a few years back, and I think they're reusing/retooling that for this event.

That's the thing at Kyoto Studio Park (Tōei Uzumasa Eigamura). We've covered this on the site too, though I don't know if I'll manage to get out there myself.

Re: World of Dragon Ball Exhibition
Thanks a lot!
Looks fun! I'm not much of a fan of extra merchandise, but I'd have probably spent some serious money there
I supose those are the original pages that are hanging on the walls, right. Also, are those concept drafts of different characters in picture 19 (3rd from the bottom)?

Looks like the booklet made its way to ebay already. I'm not interested in it for that price but you can see some pictures of the content which includes the obligatory Toriyama introduction. Looks like fun. I wonder if the online game will get a mention anywhere since Toriyama did some type of work for that.

Re: World of Dragon Ball Exhibition
Was literally uploading images of the booklet to Photobucket when I saw you've got it covered.
It all looks pretty neat. I'm really curious what the message from Toriyama says. His drawing of Goku from last month looks spot on! Other than that it seems like a pretty bland commemorative little flip book. Nothing compared to the legitimate artbooks that came with the old Akira Toriyama exhibitions.
