Well, unless Gokuh could sense Bulma's parents weak ki from the lookout the teleportation thing wouldn't have worked. The only reason he could've sensed Bulma's ki before was either a) he was very familiar with it or b) Yamucha etc...were with her.Saiyan wrote:This would have been a plot point de-railed I suppose, but how come Goku didn't just teleport to West City with Trunks to go get the Dragon Radar in the Buu saga, rather than turning SSj3, wasting all his time on earth, etc.?

The bombs had nothing to do with the Cyborg's power, to begin with. Remember that Gero's blueprints for 17 showed that his body had tiny nanomachines inside that produced infinite energy. The bombs were simply there for killing Goku and should they turn against Gero.Conan the SSJ wrote:I've always gone with my own theory that when Shen Long removed the explosive elements from the Androids' bodies, that anything dwarfing their inner ki's was diminished from that incident. I mean think about it, how else could the androids give Goku their ki when Goku was creating the Genki-dama to use on Buu? So that's what I go on, Kuririn's wish not only removed the bombs, they accidentally made the Androids' ki sensable.Tsukento wrote:Here's one that defies logic..though is part of GT.
Trunks comments that 17's "Ki" is similar to 18's. How the hell would he know if the biggest problem with the Artificial Humans that the Z Senshi had to deal with was the lack of Ki to read and find their locations?
Considering their energy is supplied by the nanomachines, it has absolutely nothing to do with the bombs in them. o_O
Boo creating a ball of Ki from all the people he's killed over the years.
If he had that with him the whole time, why the deal with letting Gohan own him?

Duo: You obviously need to work on properly reading a thread before responding it seems:

Allow me to cross-analyze the situation.Jerseymilk wrote:Duo: You obviously need to work on properly reading a thread before responding it seems.
Upon reading this, I was given the impression he was referring to the Anime, so I decided to look for the most illogical events I could, that weren't already posted, which occured in the Anime, since that was what he pointed out specifically.B-kun wrote:How many of y'all have noticed moments in DBZ where, even if it is an anime, logic just doesn't apply?
And upon reading that, I assumed he meant "don't dismiss various replies to this question as "Oh, that was just stupid filler!" as happens so often. And please try to keep the "Ah, that silly filler" responses to a min.
And upon reading that, I felt sure that I would point out things that were legitimately illogical, relevent to the subject and story, and in a respectful, non-sarcastic manner. My post was also on topic, and I answered the question at hand.VegettoEX wrote:This board is not for irrelevant and sarcastic responses. Now, if VegettoEX agree's with you that I was out of line, by all means, I will back off and apologize, despite my good intentions, asking that my posts be ignored or deleted.
I think at this point, Goku's rationality had left him entirely when in Super Saiyan 3 (similar to later on as Super Saiyan 4). Either that or he was just becoming even more reckless, what with wasting his time left by transforming into Super Saiyan 3 and engaging in a fight with Boo.Duo wrote:Goku throwing Majin Boo into a city. Pretty sure Goku was using his usual reasoning of "Oh well, we can revive those killed with the Dragon Balls afterwards," if nothing else.

No worries. I can see how it came off that way. To further amend the situation, I will post some that were present in the Manga as well...Jerseymilk wrote:That's fair enough Duo. I mainly responded because the post came across as nitpicking at filler. I apologize myself if that was a wrong assumption.

Goku's shoulder:
Janemba's slice -wasn't- escactly with a sword, but with ki. Goku is tougher than that... giant jellybean, so the ki probably stopped once it hit his muscle. (if you want plothole, watch the moment after in slow-mo; Janemba took off half of Goku's SSJ3 hair with that sword!!!)
Saiyan hair:
Yeah, hair on head... can you imagine babies with pubic hair and moustaches!? *shudder* The hair on the head -never- changed in pure-blooded saiyans, apart from loosing it. (Vegeta lost his bangs, the... peak T_T, Nappa lost his mop) Suposeably saiyan hair can be lost but not grown (on the head); whilst other hair can be grown (or, glued on, bahahahah) such as moustaches... it's confusin' eh?
I wish Vegeta kept his CUTE WIDDLE CHIBI-BANGS! Canon to the hair comment they coulda' been cut off or gone rigid (with the rest of his hair?) In a fanfic series I read he styles them up to stop from lookin' too cute.
Krillin's dots:
Aren't pernament =/
Goku's lack of teleportation in the Buu Saga: Perhaps he thought it was more important to keep Buu from harming anyone than to get the dragonradar (afterall they couldn't excactly -make- a wish for a while) He obviously expected Trunks to get it faster instead of standing around gawping (thus the yelling) and there's the added bonus for him of fighting a strong opponent...
His throwing Buu into the city... well... '_' Goku obviously went a little mad too.
-Matter manipulation's a common sci fi ability... I supose it's in the realm of 'throwing energy blasts' and 'psychic powers' =D
-Mister Satan's survival tactics shall forever remain a mystery, perhaps its' just in his genes.
-Shunken Idou's just another of them amazing DBZ powers X3
-Ooozaru... well in scientific circles matter is simply composed of energy, so perhaps a saiyan's ki itself constructs the new body =) (or, new hair, new clothes, increased healing potential etc)
As for the human/saiyan reproduction..... uhhh perhaps saiyan--saiyan genetics is so vigilant it assimilates the, uh, human half or something... (maybe that's why the offspring comes out super-strong)

It probably has to do with rearranging atoms to form different molecules. People and candy both essentially come down to being mostly carbon right?Nekoni wrote:-Matter manipulation's a common sci fi ability... I supose it's in the realm of 'throwing energy blasts' and 'psychic powers' =D
Maybe it somehow allows Goku to manipulate space so that two points are closer to each other. Of course, no one else would notice, because he's the only one that temporarily phases out of the space-time continuum.Shunken Idou's just another of them amazing DBZ powers X3

I know this one has probably been around the block, but here goes: In the Jinzoningen arc, Goku(?) states that the Hyperbo-...The Room of Spirit and Time is only for two people at a time. In the Boo arc, Boo, Gotenks and Piccolo are all in the Room.
In fact, the total actually comes to four, since Piccolo states that while trying to open the dimensional tunnel thing, Gontenks de-fused and then fused again off-screen.

I've never been concerned with things like 'how do they grow into giant apes?' or 'peple to candy?'. But I've allways struggled with the "rules" that get broken.
- Androids cannot be sensed by their ki... by they are later.
- Room of Spirit and Time is for two people only, and only for two days each. But more are inside later, and how long were Trunks and Goten in there?
- Instantanious Movement. Goku says it turns him into light so he can travel faster - but how does he get to the Afterlife?
(é) Yeah, I'm famous. Super famous. I start things.

Still though it was obvious what Duo meant.
That Piccolo telapthy with the two boys is one illogical hole. Another is that just before Planet Namek explodes, wouldn't of Goku suffocated because of lack of atmosphere being burned away and such
And Frieza claims that he can breath in space, but there is nothing to breathe in! This would suggest that Frieza doesn't need to breathe at all yet we see him panting and gasping for air numerous time in his fight with Goku.
My fill-in for that is that the Ki they manipulate can also let them thrive for how ever long without needing to inhale the planets gases, depending on how much Ki they have.

Another example of this is when Vegeta and Nappa are seen in plain space. It's obvious they breathe as well, but how can you in a vaccum? Not only that, but how do they speak to each other? And Freeza claims that he can breath in space, but there is nothing to breathe in! You know I just remembered one that I always wondered about. During the credits of "Dete Koi Tobikiri Zenkai Power", we see that funny image of Chi-Chi driving a jeep through the mountains with Gohan, Goku, and Gyuu-Mao. Then later on in that famous "driving test ep", she acts like she can't drive and wants Goku to learn so they can get a car and he can drive her places. Ya, that one always had me pondering......
