Yep, this will certainly one of the games I will buy for my Cube, yes. Probably the last game to look out for on the Cube for me, next to Twilight Princess.

Don't like how the art direction of the game, but still. One Piece. Dragon Ball. JSS in 3D. *drools*

Not that I expect this to be much different from regular JSS, however if we were to have a more diverse Villian selection (while Dio Brando is fucking awesome, there are others), and characters from Atleast Saint Seiya (and hopefully Fist of the North Star, though technically it's not "Jump" anymore), then that'd be awesome.

Edit: so it's just Naruto vs One Piece vs DBZ then? Oh, shucks, silly me.

Heh. I'm gonna get this for both the PS2 and GCN. I finally got my PS2 a slide card for my birthday, and I just bought a DVD burner, so... I think you get what I'm saying. But I'm gonna buy this game for the GameCube, just to make myself feel a little less guilty. This games gonna be SOOO good. I can't wait!

... which is fucking awesome!

I really really hope this will be released in North America. DBZ, Naruto, and One Peice (yo yo) are all released here and doing very well (in spite of the 'yo yo').

Well, for an American release, you guys know this game will have to go through 3 different companies. FUNimation, ShoPro/Viz, and ... 4Kids...

With as completely RETARDED as 4Kids has and is being with One Piece, I won't expect a Japanese voice option on the game for its release in the States. Maybe the game distributer for it here in the US (Atari?) will be able to dual-langauge the DBZ and Naruto characters (I know FUNi wouldn't have a problem, and I doubt ShoPro would since they're shooting for a confirmed uncut Naruto release), but their's no way in hell One Piece will get that honor. At best, expect an "I'd rather die than be a pirate" from dub Zoro. 4Kids just won't resist their anally insane urge to cash in on this and stick their retard dub-adaptation as up this game's ass as possible. I might get the game, if anything to make my DBZ game collection for my Ps2 as done as can be, but dammit I hope to God 4Kids won't get any say in this game's US release. If a US version is even released.

Somehow I just get this feeling that this game won't see the light of day here in North America. Oh well, since I don't want to mod my PS2 in anyway I can always import the Gamecube version and use my Action Replay Freeloader for it. So either way I'm getting this game! :D

While I do have the capability to play both versions (slide card for ps2 and freeloader for GC), I would stick with the GC version if it has multiplayer for 4 people. :)

I might think about picking it up if it does somehow manage to make it here. I'm not that big on Naruto and One Piece but I love the Super Smash Bros. style.
On hiatus.

What we need to clarify is who owns what in regards to game rights for each property. If anything, as ShoPro/shueisha have active hands in all three, Atari have rights to English language versions of DB/Z games, which would be a pretty awrkward situation. EIther way, it's not always as simple as "4kids are cunts!", despite that they are. :)

Dragonball? One Piece? AND NARUTO!? WOW! FANGASM x3!

This is awesome news, although while they were at it they could've just made an upgrdaded version of Jump Superstars for PS2 anf Gamecube. Oh well, I'm not complaining! Time to save up some cash, since it's so close to the Japanese release of Super "Dragonball Z".

 I have to agree with Conan. 4Kids is a bitch and wouldn't allow uncut DVDs unless they had FUNi distribute them for them! (Yu-Gi-Oh! Shaman King) And even there, they keep the shitty American names! Times like this make me wonder why in hell FUNi didn't get One Piece...

As Blitzen said, it isn't always quite that simple. If indeed the game were to be released in the US, there more extenuating factors than just 'what company owns the liscense to which show', which may or may not have any significant impact on the localization of the game thus far.

Further, 4Kids is primarily in the 1-to-12 market with their products, and it shows. They hold heavy the hand of the demographic, and as a result, when the uncut dvds sold better than the edited, they cut that leg off at the source. As it stands, it is unlikely that there will be any US distribution of any tv series in any way, shape, or form that is unedited.
However, considering that there may very well be extenuating factors involved with a game of this calibur, there is a small -eek- of a chance that this, and this alone would have the possibility of having secondary audio, which Atari [if indeed the ones to localize it,] now seems to understand the communities interest in the Japanese dialogue.

Though, remember, the future is not set in stone and one can never be sure how events will play out. You must things time to play out as they may, before concluding on the matter for your own decision.
