Hi, my name's Nekoni, and I'm a dragonballZ addict.

For the last 7 years since I heard of it, my entertainment's been near 100% DBZ. Whether it be reading manga, watching the eps, partaking of doujinshi, fanfics, fanart, discuissions, websearching, musicvideos or drawing and writing... (thankyou DBZ for teaching me how!) It's been DBZ, and I have been doin' it constantly.

My collection's sparse because of where I live. I only have 2 plushies, several action figures, several posters, a few dozen VHS's including all the movies, half the mangas (my fave bits) and several doujinshis.... that's quite a lot for a fan but eh o_O

DBZ's very important to me!

Why, if it weren't for DBZ I'd be...... bored.... and not very good at drawing, wouldn't have my wonderful friends, my battle front or a crush on an anime character. XP

*checks the link*

MMMM impressive...

but I know someone who has defeated that!

My friend, Atlantiya (some of you may know this artist) has a friend over in australia. OK, big deal? She has two HUGE rooms full of DBZ merchandise. Literaly, every square inch is covered in the stuff, there's display cases standing in the floor... DUDE. Aparently all in all she has several grands worth! When I visit my friend atlantiya, she's promised to take me to her friends house to see the literal MUSEAM of DBZ...

DaemonCorps wrote:When has DragonBall really taken over your life when itcomes to you/your parents spending a whole bunch of money? For me, it was when GT started being released in America. I figured that since this was a "short" series and that I've never actually been a fan of DB or DBZ at the very beginning of their DVD/VHS releases that I could actually buy these eps while they were still "fresh." Eh, it made more sens way back then, when I was more fanboy than human. As a result, I have practically every GT DVD with the exception to the so called "Lost" eps (when the fanboy effect started wearing off).

Has something similar to this ever happened to you?
Well, while I'm still into DBZ (a little bit), the only money I've spent DB-related was to get four DVD's (The History of Trunks, which was way back when I was obsessed with the Jinzouningens, and the three RRA ones), so I guess that's not that much of a fangirlism. But I did watch the show quite a bit. Of course, I always missed lots of episodes then became really confused once I caught it on the right time and place, considering my short memory span and just general forgetfulness...

I have a couple hundred of the action figures on display in a bookcase. I started collecting them back when I was 17 or so. They've never been played with, just on display collecting major amounts of dust these days. My interest has dwindled since then, but I keep up with the Manga and DVD releases and am very close to completing both those sets.

In your dreams, dude. No one can be as lucky as VeggetoEX.

Let's see 'em, then. I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

I'm very much an artist. And let's just say that whenever I doodle, I have a strong tendency to doodle Super Saiyans. 'Nuff said.

Me too! My homework planner has so manny little pictures of Goku, and Vegeta, and occasionally my own version of Saiyan armor and scouters. But what I really like to doodle is Kid Buu. There's just something about him that's cool to draw. It's kinda like Krillin with his no-nosed-face, but I also get a bonus by not having to draw such complicated ears!

Ok, ok, so I guess they're not exactly doodles in a traditional sense, since they're so detailed, but whatever...

So are mine. People see me doodling and they're all "whoa, that's really good," when it took me like 30 seconds.

I wonder how many potentially good designs or concepts have vanished into oblivion because I had to erase to make room for notes...

Ah, that's why I do my current "doodles" in pen (as well as my notes. I try to keep myself within the area of the margins when I'm using the same paper for notes.

Looking at this and especially hearing people talk about DB/OP crossovers or DB/Naruto crossovers reminds me back in high school when guys were talking about wanting DB/SM crossovers.

HA HA. Crossover.

Anyways, I too doodle SSJ Goku. I can never seem to draw Vegeta right, though.

I've also spent $320 on the Viz translated manga. When I bought my PS2, I bought Budokai 3 with it, and I think that's the only PS2 game I own...

I'm actually better at Vegeta than Goku. I can never seem to get any of Goku's expressions right, save for the hardened, "I'm-about-to-kick-your-@$$" battle face. Vegeta's expressions are a lot easier for me.

And to add to the actual topic, I bought, out of sheer curiosity, the Final Bout Re-release, despite knowing it was a crappy game. I actually still play it every once in a while.

I bought Ultamite Battle 22 - thought it would be good - turns out I hate it more than life. I don't regret it though - just because it's DBZ.

For me, I guess you could say it started in January when I had a little extra money while shopping at Walden's and decideding to pick up the first four volumes of the manga. I soon became obsessed, and even purchased the next 20 volumes all at once. Since then, I'm all caught up excluding volume 41. I also picked up Fusion Reborn last weekend and Budokai 3 GH on Monday.

That may have been where my recent addiction started, but it really started when I bought the DB videos years ago. DB 1-13 (editted), first three movies, and numerous DBZ videos on VHS. I even recorded the "first 53 episodes" that aired on Toonami during it's second run, as well as the first three movies.

Ahh, the memories.

If it wasn't for people like VeggetoEX, my passion for Dragonball Z may have died out a while ago; Toonami UK has stopped showing the legendary Dragonball Z! If anyone from the UK is fed up of having no Dragonball Z on Toonami (like me), sign this petition:

http://www.petitiononline.com/BANIUK15/petition.html

I'd be grateful if you'd spread the word.

You guys from America are so lucky!

I too have not seen DBZ here for a couple of years now. Aside from the  Bridge Entertainment movies, we have had nothing. But we do get an advantage over you Americans: we got the Ocean Group!! :D I first got into DB when it had just started airing over here in the UK. The first episodes I saw were the Gohan training in the wilderness episodes. Since I have to import, all I've got is the 1st three Ultimate Uncut DVDs and the DB Series and the DBZ movies on bootleg  . Damn eBay.

I've bought the entire DVD set for Dragonball.

The Z-era isn't worth the money, save for the first 30 or so episodes.

When I spent about $200 or so on ebay to get the 8 essential Daizenshuu (the first seven, plus TV Animation 3).

Funnily enough, I never bought too much of the series...mainly just bought the manga and wrote fanfics. Still write some now and then.
