Episode #0022 (16 April 2006)

Episode #0022! VegettoEX, Julian, and Meri go over all the huge video game news from the last week, and give some initial thoughts on the recent DB and DBZ movies "Dragon Box". Meri's list of best animal mascots and a good deal of e-mail catch-up round out the episode! Referenced sites: Whee! Go ahead and grab it. Big thanks to godofchaos for hosting the sexy *twenty-two* episodes, now.

Due to a busy weekend full of required family gatherings, Otakon AMV editing, cleaning, new Dragon Box, Julian coming home to the good ol' US, and insane cats... we have a slightly shorter episode than normal, but it's all there. Julian's 'net connectivity caused a couple hiccups here and there, but I tried to edit around stuff as best I could :D.

You forgot Dr Brief's little cat that sits on his shoulder, a great short but sweet podcast.

We're out of ending themes to TV series, TV specials, and movies, so I've moved on to video games :). It's the ending to Ultimate Battle 22, "Eien no Yakusoku" (performed by Kageyama Hironobu & KUKO; it's a gorgeous song).

Oh man, when you guys were talking about the #1 on "Meri's List" I could've sworn you were talking about Dr. Breif's cat. I feel he should have been on the list.

Is this on the US release as well? I may have to actually sit through that game someday. I never really had the patience to before, but I would just to hear the full version of that song.

Great podcast, guys. I must say I had a similar reaction to the news on D.O.N.

I thought that too, whatever happened to the site dedicated to the cat? I remember it was actually pretty funy. Back on topic: D.O.N. seems to be on the right track to get to America, but, as the 'cast said, it may get caught up in legal mumbo jumbo. Also; I've never heard anyone get so... :shock: over a scouter before, nor have I ever wanted to see, hear, or smell someone wearing a scouter and no pants :lol:

Live action script? I could do one, course it'd be like seven hundred pages....*cough*

I more or less hear the FUNi voices, even though I started with the Ocean Group...*cough*

I think you guys used to have it on the Music Downloads section once upon a time :3

I would too, but I know the end that people would be displeased by whatever form of live action Dragonball movie would be created...

Same with me.

Hmm... I thought it was a regular podcast. Nothing special unless you consider EX's fangasm over the scouter something :?...

I'm waiting for you guys to go over the Dragon Box for the movies (on both the podcast and site).

Umm... the top 5 was interesting, keep up the work...

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 isn't looking like a "rumour"

Post by Steven Perry » Sun Apr 16, 2006 4:24 pm

I'm starting to become pretty confident that Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is in development. I had a look through some of the games listed onthis site, and I have to say, our chances of Budokai Tenkaichi 2 look very promising. The majority of the games are confirmed:

* Dark Sector - Digital Extremes -check
* Dark RPG - From Software -check
* Darkness, The - Take Two Interactive/StarBreeze -check
* Data-Fly - Origo Gaming Entertainment- check
* Def Jam 3: Back To The Streets - EA Games- check
* Derby Stallion (working title) - Enterbrain- check
* Devil May Cry 4 - Capcom- check (looks great!)
* Diabolique: License to Sin - Metropolis Soft.- check
* Dirty Harry (working title) -Warner Bros. IE- check
* Driver 5 (working title) - Atari- check
* Dynasty Warriors (working title)- Koei- check
* Digimon World Online - Bandai- not so sure

* Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2- Spike- not so sure

* Saikyou Ginsei Shougi 7 - Magnolia- check
* Scarface: The World is Yours - Vivendi Universal- check
* Schwarzenberg - Radon Labs- check
* Secret Service - Tigon- check
* Section 8 - TimeGate- check
* Seikan - Astroll- check
* ShadowClan - Tiger Hill- check
* Shin Megami Tensei (working title) - Atlus- check
* Shin Ten Makai VI (working title) - Idea Factory- check
* Shinseiki GPX Cyber Formula (working title) - Sunrise Int- check
* Shougi World Champion Gekisashi (working title) - Mainichi- check
* Silent Hill 5 - Konami- check
* Slotter Mania - Dorasu- check
* Sonic the Hedgehog - Sega- check
* Soul Calibur IV - Namco- check
* Spider-Man 3 - Activision- check
* Stranglehold - Tiger Hill- check
* Stuntman 2 - Reflection- check
* Sunrise Eiyuutan (working title) - Sunrise Int- check
* Super Robot Taisen (working title) - Banpresto- check
*Tekken 6- Namco- check (looks great!)

Phew... Can't be bothered to check anymore...

"check"= Found an article confirming it's release. "not so sure"= Nothing found :( It looks like we can rest assured that we're gonna get Tenkaichi 2, right?

Yes, Soul Calibur 4 and Tekken 6 have been announced! Hey, I'm pretty hyped up over Devil May Cry 4!

Well, that was quite interesting. Short, but very funny. I want the Dragon Box set for the awesome quality and the. . . scouters, with the extra thingys hanging off of them. I envy you! >v< (Oh, and VegettoEX: Your new icon's great! :lol: )

I found it interesting what FUNi called movie 13. It is rather odd. I actually pictured them talking about Hir. . . I, I don't know how to spell its name, but the bad monster villain that Tapion and his brother held the two halves inside of them. I don't think Goku's Super Dragon Fist or Ryu-Ken was that "wrath-like."

As for Goku randomly making up attacks, didn't Goku use Ryu-Ken during Dragon Ball? I believe it was the move that killed Daimaou Piccolo, was it not? I don't think he had a name for it at the time, but I'm pretty sure it was the same attack.

I need to listen to more of your Podcasts. Seriously, it's halarious hearing other fans acting. . . (I want to say otaku, but that would be offensive, even though I don't mean it in an offensive way) like fans. ^_^

Might wanna point out that the image of Goku on the Podcast section for #22 links to #21. :P Found it odd that I was hearing something similar earlier until I noticed the link name.

Actually if memory serves correctly, I believe that when he killed Piccolo Daimaou, an image of Ozaru was shown.

However, the "Super Dragon Fist" does appear in Budokai 3.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it was called when Goku used it against Super 17.

I'm also pretty sure it's called Super Dragon Fist.
And Blue Water called it Ultimate Dragon Fist!
