I know that. But it's the opposite that's being said - that Yamcha is definitely weaker despite being complete speculation.Kamiccolo9 wrote:Sure it's possible. Yeah, but none of the other actors make that URWAHH sound when they get batted away. Her range is great for speaking and emoting, but her battle cries get old fast. None of the other seiyuus' bother me as much.

A. He's pointless. He didn't defeat Buu and he got introduced just to defuse. You can cut out his whole fight and contrive another way for Goku and Vegeta to get absorbed and nothing would change. Why? He's the only person who did anything worthwhile in the entire arc.
B. He's boring. His entire appearance is just devoid of any tension because he's so invincible. He just turns the whole thing into a gag.
C. He's a combination of two of my least favorite characters, who were shoehorned into this arc (and in Goku's case, retconned to be more important) because lolGoku.
D. He's overpowered for thinly explained reasons and repeatedly pulls new abilities out of his ass (oh yeah, I can totally survive transmutation, and I can totally not get thrown into a pod when absorbed).
E. He induced idiocy in Buu by existing. Buu never ever needed to turn him back into Vegetto after he hit with the candy beam; as a jawbreaker Vegetto would be totally incapable of actually killing Buu.
F. Like 95% of the Buu Saga, he's basically filler. In a larger sense you can cut out the whole Super Buu/Gohan/Gotenks/Vegetto segment of the saga and nothing would change. But at least Super Buu is actually an enjoyable character.

A. You can imply the same thing to Gotenks and Gohan. That's Boo saga for ya.RandomGuy96 wrote:A. He's pointless. He didn't defeat Buu and he got introduced just to defuse. B. Gotenks did the same thing. Hell every Villain has turn a fight into a gag and toy with their prey. Vegito had a reason to not be serious unlike all the other Villains and Gotenks. Vegito could have been serious.
C.I doubt Goku and Vegeta can create a barrier that is strong enough to counter Boo's absorption.
D. You're really complaining about him being overpowered. Goten and Trunks are oped not Vegito. Goten and Trunks are powerful with little to no training. Vegito is Goku and Vegeta who busted their ass off to get power. Especially Vegeta.
E. Vegito is a smart guy. He had a plan and he stick to it. He needed it to save his family and friends. Boo is not that smart to begin with. Maybe Gotenks and Piccolo Boo but after he ate Gohan was a cocky fighter who's an idiot when it comes to fighting. Similar to Gohan after the 7 year time skip.
F. How can you blame that on Vegito? You acting like he WROTE the story. Boo arc needed filler to be honest. Super Buu was enjoyable till his ate Gotenks and Gohan. Here's a lesson. The AUTHOR writes the story not the characters. The characters are "fake".

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I don't like the whole concept of a Saiyan. A monkey-like human that grows into a giant monkey during the full moon and is naturally evil? To me, that sounds kinda lame.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
Dragon Ball is built on gags. Every serious moment in the series shares continuity with a good number of gags. There are events resulting directly from the gags that lead to the rest of the series being able to happen. What I'm trying to say is that gags are a core element to the story. Hell, I'd even argue that the insane degree to which characters grow in power could be interpreted as a meta-gag in and of itself.RandomGuy96 wrote:B. He's boring. I think Vegetto does a great job of being a late-story gag.

So I rewatching GT, and I actually don't mind Pan. She was pretty decent for a kid protagonist, the storyline just give her much to work with. Then again, you could say that for pretty much any non-Goku character.

Except that's not the sound you get when you breath through gritted teath, you get a wispy ssssss sound not "THKCH". To even get something like that you have to push air to the top of the inside of your mouth and create a strain (for lack of a better word) on the top of the inside of your mouth, which is very different from breathing through gritted teath.penguintruth wrote:But those little things are part of what makes her Goku so good!dbzfan7 wrote:I agree. I hate her lol. But for differ reasons then most. Most people most likely hate her because she's a main character and Uuub,Goten,Trunks(Post Black star DB arc), Vegeta, and the person who quit fighting yet people still pissed about him not being a main character in Gt. The 90's boy! Son Gohan!Kid Buu wrote:So I rewatching GT, and I actually don't mind Pan. She was pretty decent for a kid protagonist, the storyline just give her much to work with. I liked her, just wished they toned her anger and annoyingness down a notch. But by the end of the Evil Dragon arc she does seem to have mellowed a little.Kid Buu wrote:So I rewatching GT, and I actually don't mind Pan. It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Same. I've never had a problem with her.
