My biggest want since all the games have been released: a no-cap leveling system, like Final Bout. You can train as strong as you want to go. None of this lvl 99 max thing where the CPU still has twenty more points on you like in Budokai 3.

Something that'd be amazing to see in any game and add a bit more of an RPG element into it would be Masters. You could seek out various masters and train under them to learn new attacks. While under a master, your stats would take on various characteristics, such as boosts to strength and speed under Kamesennin, or stronger ki attacks under Tsurusennin.
"Justice, Honor, Hope, Purity, Victory"

Update: Issue 10 is up! Volume 1 is complete!

An option to switch between the cel-shaded 'anime' style and a black-and-white 'manga' style. It wouldn't affect gameplay at all, just change colours to screen tones, and make auras opaque instead of transparent.

And I'm still pulling for some RPG-esque statistics, so my Gohan is stronger than your Gohan :D
Wow, that would actually be unbeliveably awesome.

I can just imagine smashing someone into a mountain, with a huge "DO~N" sound effect exploding into the air!

And the toning thing, black/white, it would be amazing, like playing the manga! and it probably wouldn't be THAT hard for PS3...
It wouldn't be hard at all. It'd be a pallate switch for the whole level, that's all.

Here's 'manga mode'. All I did was select areas and adjust the 'brightness/contrast'. nothing added at all.

The auras would be a little difficult, unless they just made it a 2D sprite :P which is exactly what I'd want it to look like.

I'd like to have some nice pre-battle scenes, unlike those crappy ones they put in for Sparking! Battle Gate or whatever it was called. The character models they put into the game were way way waay to stiff, and if they improved on that, I'd be happy, as well as being able to change their facial expressions..

I'd also like in-game transformations. They make the game more enjoyable.

Yeah, that's pretty much all I'd ask for.

EDIT: Oh yeah, better looking character models too..not just the stiffness.

Some kind of customized dialogue for each fight combination.

-More characters (this is probably one of the few "features" we can be sure of)

-Weather effects and different times of day

-Larger arenas

-Imaginary fusion characters (especially villain fusions)

-Some button combination based melee fights (like when the fighters both start punching each other at the same time, on screen buttons appear and the first to push the buttons in the right order wins)

How about a new fighting system where when both characters are pressing bunch and kick at the same time they both take damage at the same time but and it looks like their fighting straight from the series.

And also a replay factor where you can watch and custimize the camera angles of the fights to make it look like the cartoon.

While re-creating the feeling of the show is always a nice idea in theory, in practice it can be a real pain. A feature like that would make defence more or less useless. The closest thing that Dimps and Spike have done for your request is the "Burst Mode". They don't get damaged, but they do fight at supersonic speed, just like in the show.

It would be great if you can make holes in the ground when you smash you opponent into the ground. :D
And better graphics.

Pressing defence could be just as useful with damage not going through. And fast pased hits would not do much, which ties into another neat option, which is the feature of having lengthened battles that can last up to 10 mins. It may not seem very appealing at first but graphics would look so much more better on the PS3 and if fights were more largely based on power and strength, then a battle could end very quickly or long. Of course you could turn the option off and have default quick battles instead.

Yeah well, wave bye-bye to the PS3 for now, because Tenkaichi 2 is a PS2 product (or a Rev PS2-port, take your pick). This couldn't be worst. I had so much hope that we would see a PS3 DBZ game in the beginning of 2007, but now... damn.

Anyway, what I'd like to see in Tenkaichi "Neo":

1. More diverse combos.
2. Turn on/off in-game transformations (thus, making every gamer happy)
3. Melee attacks doing the same amount of damage they do in the Budokai series (that is, have some actual meaning for you to use)
4. Kuricolo / Puririn
5. Better graphics, more explosions, new soundtrack (that's for the Tenkaichi for PS3)
6. Get rid of the "survive" missions; instead, have the player control the character who was supposed to win the battle in the show (2nd Freeza vs Kuririn, not Kuririn vs 2nd Freeza)
7. Balance the power of the ozarus.
8. Very easy difficulty mode = very easy (unlike in Tenkaichi 1)
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

Here's what I want to see at this moment in time. Frankly I found Sparking to be a weak game and feel the following needs to be changed if it's to be any better.
  • More variants in the character's moves and abilities. I feel to many characters had to simular moves, i.e. outside of the main heroes and villains, a number of characters manily had some bog standard ki blash and rush attack (though it has been a while since I last played so my memory might be a bit fuzzy).
  • Possibly in-game transformation. Personally I don't like nor really see the point in having all those versions of Goku, Gohan etc. Why not just make all the forms available as in-game transformations, and only include variants if they come in "multiple forms" i.e. young and old, good and evil etc.
  • Bring back the capsule system or something simular. It's the main reason I return to the Budokai series. True, there was the earing system but frankly I'm not sure if it's really what I'm personally looking for.
  • Cut down the cast. It's all well and good having Chaotzu, all of the Ginyu Force etc., but frankly for me it was a case of:
"Oh they have *insert name*. Nice. Now, where's SSj4 Goku/Ultimate Gohan?"
By all means include all the big players from DB, DBZ, DBGT and the Movies but for the lesser characters frankly I think we can do without them.

And by "we", you mean "you". Because frankly I like the fact that I choose Gurudo, Dodoria, Nappa etc.

OK, so perhaps "we" wasn't the right word to use there. But frankly I view those characters as a waste of disk space and space on the character select screen. I feel if Spike didn't waste so much space on characters I feel are pointless, other features could be included and/or done differently. But that's just my opinion.

I don't know about features, but I agree that few fighters adds for variety in fighting style. I'm secretly hoping that this will be the case in Chou DBZ. 12 fighters only? There's BOUND to be variety in fighting style. Still, give me the pink fatso henchman of Freeza, and I'm happy as well.
