I can point out a few instances that Kai is on par with the original Japanese. Like Vegeta's first transformation into Super Saiyan in the front of the Artificial Humans. Sabat's delivery is top notch and his yell, "Yuuuurrraaahhh!!!", is pretty awesome to hear.

Let's not forget Goku's transformation as well as his speech to Freeza too.
Majin vegeta at the world tourney. That's funimation and that IMO destroyed the original audio.

More of FUNimation back then trying to make Vegeta out to be a good guy all along.

Not only is it just better written than the original (which is essentially an unremarkable "we aren't strong enough" admonishment), it actually makes more sense as something that would legitimately convince Vegeta since the power increase would have been apparent to him even without Goku having to say it.
Seconded. It was amazing to hear it with Schemmel and Drummond mixed together. Trust me, that was the ultimate English dub trump over the original.

Nope. I saw an edited version of it with both dubs. I'll tell you, it was the best thing I had ever seen since sliced bread.

The way you worded it made it seem like Sean and Drummon mixed their voices lol.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the people posting in this thread will be from places that received the two major English dubs so..... Supposedly half of the forum are from non English speaking countries but I wonder how many of them are active. If you go into the member location thread you will see that a majority of the posts are by members from English speaking countries.

There are a few things here and there the dub did better, but I'm of the opinion that the original is overwhelmingly better in all areas - music, performances, dialog. I'm not a dub hater, but I don't know how anyone could say season 3 and much of season 4 were better in the dub than the original.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

That's the whole "Saiyans are honorable warriors corrupted by Freezer" (despite being savaged by nature) thing speaking.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

Ocean, actually.

Funi had some syncing issues during the show. It got a lot better in the games, and hopefully Kai (and was still technically an improvement on JP), but still.

I said Funimation in my post. I'm just saying it's not Falcunor dub. Please say Funimation as it's more specific.
