EDIT: Wait, wasn't it Porunga that granted the wishes, anyway?

EDIT2: Yeah, it was Porunga.
Well, that's one question answered.

D'oh!

Oi, to people who have played/seen the opening to Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout, have you noticed that in the opening they have Super Buu laughing, before he turns into Kid Buu and blasts? I'm not seeing things, right? It really is Super Buu, who isn't even in the Final Bout game?
What's scarier than a DBZ H-game?

Deadlines?! Um, I do not think that's the explanation, it doesn't take that long to draw muscle tones on the stomach part of a character. Anyhow, I think maybe Akira Toriyama was looking in the mirror when he was looking for reference XD.

Another little thing I've always noticed, and cannot help but think about how ridiculous this fact is. Every character that has ever worn clothes, have always been able to protect their pants from being burned away by Ki blasts. I swear, the Z-team and several other characters must have burned up a lot of their own energy in order to keep their pants intact.

Remember that Toriyama usually worked on a tight schedule and always joked in his manga, especially Dr. Slump, about meeting deadlines and how much pressure his editors put on him to finish. That and lord knows how many sleepless nights he's had, or how often he's worked while being sick or injured.

That's just style.

Humans have eight ab* muscles, aranged in two colums going down. The top two, by artists, are often drawn small or at times non-existant... tecnicaly they're the same size, but they connect oddly to the pecs...

ab* when I say this I refer to what is commonly called the abs. In actual fact there are multiple ab muscles which cover the entirity of the front stomach and lower chest.

Toriyama seems to know just as well as anybody the unbridled stress of deadlines.

On another note, in one of the YuGiOh graphic novels, Takahashi drew a card over the introduction entitled "Deadline Hell".

Censorship reasons. Imagine SSJ4 Goku losing his trousers. See what I mean? The series would've needed an 18 rating. Same for Gogeta, I mean if it's a fusion of Goku and Vegeta...Oh God, I'm getting into perverted antics and theories now...I'll just stop. :P

Haha yeah I know, but it's basically the only logical explanation I can think of. Probably protect their pants from falling apart using their own Ki or whatnot. 8)

Hah... Goku's clothes fall off quite a lot!

VEGETA though- that's just got to be magic hasn't it? The only incidences when as much as half his shirt got torn off are movie 6 and the DBZ gaiden!

I do wish all their pants HAD fallen constantly off... *nosebleed*

Goku and Piccolo had pants legs burned off in big battles. But no, no one ever lost thier crotch portion of the pants. I mean, Goku got burned by a volcano in the seat of the pants when fighting Freeza but they didn't burn off.

NO WAIT, Goku fights Pilaf and crew and they burn off his pants once in Dragonball! I remember because Goku fires off a Kamehameha with nothing but a half a shirt on and nothing else. Quite funny yet somehow disturbing. I was glad his pants didn't get burned off when fighting Freeza, that would have been VERY disturbing I imagine.

Or USSj.

Okay, gross, back on topic.

here's one - there's not a lot of Toribot in the manga, but I never thought there was any in the anime - but I seem to remember seeing a little toribot climbing on a palm tree on Kame's island (something tell's me is DBZ ep 1, but it could be another one).

This is one I *just* caught while watching a DBZ video on YouTube. During the episode where Goku's watching Gohan train with the Z Sword, before throwing that rock at him... When he's sitting on the rock, right before starting to clap, he has no halo.

Image

Then, after he leans forward to start his applause. His halo's back.

<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

It was thanks to Mochi's fandub, which was what you were watching at the time. XP

Also, Vegeta's shaving kit in GT has a picture of Toribot on it.

At least the people I have affectionately named "The GT Jackasses" remembered the Tori-bot. Dragon Ball just isn't Dragoon Ball without the Tori-bot. Actually, when I think about it, the Tori-bot may actually be my favourite character...

In episode 15 of DragonBall you see some WANTED signs posted up on a wall, Toribot is one of them I beleive, and to the picture's left is some dude, and then it's a picture of Launch.

In the manga, when Goku visits Capsule Corporation for the first time, Dr. Briefs has a copy of SUPER MARIO BROS. on his desk.

Two little things that I've noticed while skimming through the mangas:

1 - When we first meet her, Launch's gloves read "Sturgis" (A city that hosts possibly the biggest Motorcycle festival)

2 - When Buu "the Djinn"'s egg is about to hatch, Gohan lets out a left-handed kamehameha. Goku always pinches his ki to his right side, but Gohan charges it on his left.

There was another one or two, but I've forgotten them.

Oh neat, I always wondered what the "Sturgis" thing was in reference to. Thanks for clearing that up. 8)
