Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Well, that's the problem: He
thinks. No
evidence.
Man, I wish I could speak to Kami about this....

Nothing is indestructable. I'm sure Piccolo Daimao or anyone of equal / greater strength could destroy a Dragonball without too much trouble. They may be strong, but there isn't any reason to think they're invincible - all we know is that they can withstand Taopaipai's Dodon-pa.

We know that Tao can't damage the ball with his most concentrated Ki attack, yet Yajirobe can put a hole through them, and from that point on in the series characters either threaten to destroy the Dragonballs or worry about them being destroyed. I think it's safe to say we have an accurate depiction of how durable the Dragonballs are.
You could also ask that since when the Dragonballs are inactive they don't emit their unique energy field, could they be broken by "normal" human means while they just sit around as stones? And would they just regenerate/ pull themselves together after the year is up? Or do they still retain their abnormal resistance to damage?
So zetta slow

Not that this adds anything to the argument of how potentially destructable the dragonballs are but I just remembered that a dragonball is attached to Gohan's hat at the start of DBZ and I was wondering if this was perhaps sewn on or attached in some other maner. If it was sewn well, the dragonballs can't be all that tough can they? But I'll just leave that as something Toriyama didn't put too much thought into.

I thought it was just kinda sitting there. I thought I remembered it falling out, or someone taking it off... I can't remember.

In movie 4, I think Slug takes the ball off of Gohan's hat.

Yeah, but he yanks it off with some effort.
