Yes, why wouldn't you be able to, lol?
I watch NTSC dvds on a monitor, and I live in Norway, haha.

Well, I live in the US. But if I really can watch PAL DVDs on my PC, then I'm going to go ahead and preorder this DVD.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I wonder from which company they got the remastered material. AB only has their old crappy and heavily cut material! Did the DVD publisher really get the new japanese material?! This would mean that other companies could buy the license from AB (those bastards have the rights for ALL of Europe) but get the material from another company/country! Interesting!
What I'm gonna type now can only be classified as rumors, because I've read this at several forums.

AB is supposed to make "collector versions" (remastered, uncut dub and sub) of DB, DBZ, DBGT, Hokuto no Ken and Saint Seiya.

Supposedly they're gonna release Saint Seiya first, and then DBZ.
And from what I gather, Toei gave them new raws (not Dragonbox, but the "film" they're on, dunno what it's called) for Saint Seiya.
I have no idea about the Dragonball series, but I would assume so.
So that Spanish company probably got the raws from AB.
I don't really know though...
Only thing I know, is that these Spanish dvds are official.
Isnt Hokuto no Ken Hokuto Shin Ken/Fist of The North Star? I have the rematered HNK on DVD.USA needs these remasters!

I forgot to say you'll probably need a program that can make your dvd rom region free, but that's not a huge deal.

I don't see why the US can't get access to the remasters. They don't even have to re-dub the voices. Can't they just get the audio from their dub and put it "over" the remasters? Then, they can just make a re-re-release of DBZ here, but try not to make a big deal out of it and casually release the UUEs already out. Darn US... :x:x:x

I think FUNi's playing it smart... They'll most likely purchase the remasters whe it's time to release the series in Blu-Ray or HD-DVD.

The UK need something like this...

We don't get any DECENT Dragonball DVD's down here!!

[/quote]

I so agree!!!! The UK probably gets the least amount of Dragonball related things in Europe. The only things we did get were the movies 2, 3, and 4, and it had the worst dub in the world (people called Piccolo Big Green and Goku sounded like a tired office worker).

So it would be grate if we get something like Spain!!!!

Dear god... Don't get me started on that. Still, it's good comedy. Some people have actually purchased it, even though they're in America!

YEAH!!!!!

I mean we are not asking for a Dragon Box! Not even entire sagas (although it would be really good), just a monthly DVD with 3 to 5 episodes on it!!!!

We're just gonna have to import, which...err...costs SO MUCH money. :x I wish that I could just pop down to the local store, and buy some DVDs...

Hmmmm... I feel like watching some crappy movies now. Vegeta shouts "Kamehameha!" In the Cooler movie. :|

Of course, it's a bit late for that now. Better familiarize yourself with PHPBB2 a bit more before you get yourself canned by Mike.

SonGokuGT, I'd have to agree with you on that statement. I mean FUNimation is going to probably do the whole "Season" thing, getting all of DragonBall Z out, in which case making the fans think nothing more will come. Then when they least expect it, BOOM, DragonBall Z "The Re-mastered" version will be released, making people complain they bought 7-8 $50 "Season's" when they could've waited and bought practically the same thing, just with better quality/picture.

Let me just say that FUNimation does, at times, play with their fans' heads. For example, look at the Ultimate Uncut Editions and now the new "Season's" that are apparently going to be released. I don't think that will be the last time some of us get screwed by FUNimation.

Vol2's out for pre-order.
What I find weird, is that the SAME extras are listed as volume one...

Wow... All those updates!

Thanks a ton for the heads-up! It's pretty cool how one of the special features is a featurette on the restoration/remastering process of the original prints! I definately have to get my uncle to get this for me!

That's not "remastered," that's an OVA from 2003. I would know, also being a big time Hokuto no Ken fan.

Your view of "remastered" is very strange. "Remastered" does not mean "re-animated," it refers to the process of cleaning up and improving old, aged masters. "De-aging," them, I guess you could say.

Only if your DVD player can support the region code for said DVDs.

Generally, most dvd drives are either region free or allow for a few 'region setting' changes (mine allows for seven).

The dvd drive rarely forces you to choose a region - if you're forced to choose it's probably the DVD itself. Though even that is uncommon.
