Can anyone confirm this?
I've really been into the GT music for some time, but I've heard that the only CD with its music is the 10th Anniversary Special CD. However, I stumbled into this a few days ago. I'm almost certain that it's a bootleg, but can someone confirm this?

Bootleg, plain and simple.DaemonCorps wrote:I've really been into the GT music for some time, but I've heard that the only CD with its music is the 10th Anniversary Special CD. However, I stumbled into this a few days ago. I'm almost certain that it's a bootleg, but can someone confirm this?
I've got it too. It contains all the DB/Z/GT opening/ending themes, plus about half of the movie endings randomly placed throughout the CD.
It's a bootleg, so stay away.
When I got it, it also came with the Budokai & Budokai 2 soundtrack, but it was also a bootleg and didn't come with the music video DVD. Boo!!

Yeah I'm pretty certain it's a bootleg since it's a 19 track CD selling for 6$
There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

No there was no legit CD ever made with all the GT themes to my knowledge. The only thing that ever came close was the soundtrack CD to the tenth anniversary Dragonball Movie. It had the TV Size version of "DAN DAN" on it. It's also the closest thing you can get to the BGM music for GT.Kula wrote:Speaking of GT music, is there a legit CD that contains 'Dan Dan' and all of the ending themes? If not, what's the best way to get hold of them?
Your best bet would be to search for the CDs of the various artists that did the songs such as Field of View or ZARD. CD singles would be out of print by now and only available through Yahoo Japan, which is very hard to buy from if you don't know Japanese and most of the sellers WILL NOT ship to any buyer outside of Japan. However, artists like Zard, do have "best hit" type CDs that may contain the songs you're looking for. I would say that's your best shot.
EDIT: Okay because I'm a total J-music freak with too much time on my hands, I decided to search for the CDs of the artists who did the GT themes. Here's what I came up with:
Looked up the very talented ZARD first and found the CD that contains "Don't You See" on it as well as another of her CDs that has her wonderful version of "DAN DAN" on it. She actually was the one that originally composed the song, and I highly recommend this version. It's absolutely lovely. Heck I recommend ZARD period, she's really nice artist.^^

Field of View, I found "DAN DAN" on their 2-CD collection, but for a cheaper price, I also found a CD with J-music themes from Japanese TV and the song is on there also, plus there's other stuff by many of the other GT artists like DEEN and WANDS, yay! Plus it's slightly cheaper.

For the song, "Hitori ja Nai" by DEEN, I found it easily enough on one of his collection CDs. It's Track 3:

Some may be wondering why I didn't search for the song "Nichiyobi". I personally believe that it was never actually used for GT in any way, but since it was the extra song included on the single release for "Hitori ja Nai", it somehow, due to confusion, got included on the infamous "Dragon Ball Best Collection" bootleg. The fans that got the bootleg or heard it assumed that it was actually in the anime at some point.
I searched for WANDS' "Sabitsuita Mashingan de Ima o Uchinukô"
next and was disappointed not to find anything on YesAsia since I'd been doing so well so far. So I headed over to CDJapan which I don't like searching as much because half the time they don't have track listings for their CDs, making a search for a particular song much more difficult. I had to rely on the CD descriptions and hope they would name the song. Well I was lucky and happened upon the piece when I checked the second CD of theirs listed.

Shizuka Kudo was the hardest to track down. I found nothing at YesAsia, but was luckier at CDJapan. I managed though to find a CD with "Blue Velvet" on it and of course, wouldn't you know it? It's on another "best of" CD. Thank goodness for those things!

So there you go. That's all of them. I can't believe I did that. See Kenisu? You aren't the only one that takes these obsessions too far. >>
