Super DBZ JP Site Update

Post by Sebastian (SB) » Sat May 06, 2006 8:24 pm

I don't really know whether I should of started a topic for this or not, but it seems the Japanese Super DragonBall Z site has been updated with information regarding the PS2 JP home release. Check it out

http://spdbz.jp/

Info on JP PS2 Home Release (Nice Flash Sequence)
http://spdbz.jp/ps2/index.html

EDIT: Well actually the JP PS2 portion of this site has only that Flash Sequence saying that more info will come soon so it hasn't been fully put up yet...

I know this a weeks old topic, but now another "Super DBZ JPN" Site Update!!! Apparently those scenes we see of Cell being blown away with a Kamehameha to another planet is rumored to be referred to as a "Dragon Finisher". It kinda plays like a Fatality in "Mortal Kombat". Basically when your opponents health is low, you can pull off this move & it initiates into a "Budokai 3" style cutscene where you finish off your character. It's a nice little addition/gimmick to the gameplay & I don't it takes away too much from the gameplay overall. It'll definitely attract fans of the "Dragon Ball Z" PS2 games.

Wow, I wasn't expecting "fatality" type finishers. Gah, now i'm more excited.

Hrm...I hope these are optional. It makes me uneasy whenever new gameplay elements are added to arcade ports. If implemented well, I won't mind. It just seems to me that this is an attempt to throw in unnecessary cutscene-style moves a la Budokai, when they really aren't necessary.

Klilyn. Is the "official" Japanese rendering of his name, I've seen it in games, the Dragon Ball Kanzenban guides etc.

Oh my god! Am I psychic, or what? :P

That website was just absolutely magnificent. I'm still recovering from the shock.

Maybe this game is gonna be better than B3? I've just seen a video on the arcade website. Hectic.

I can not wait for this game! Not only does this game actually have depth to it, but sweet looking finishing moves as well! I can not wait to play as Cell, Freeza/Mecha Freeza, Vegeta/Majin Vegeta, Son Goku, Piccolo/ Piccolo Daimao, and Son Gohan (young adult). The graphics in this game look just like the manga. The detail is just insane!
