I've asked around and I have to kinda disagree. KINDA!
Sure it sucked, and I mean majorly in some parts but that dosen't make it a BAD series, seeing another SSJ transformation kinda made me appreciate DBZ a little more. So IMO it's not bad, it's just terrible compared to DBZ.
and that's my two cents!

A little note it has a scene were a oozaru grabs SS4 Goku I don't know what episode it is from could someone tell me?
And Jakeman, that scene is from one of the last few episodes where Vegeta transforms into a Golden Oozaru (but he cheats). After grabbing Goku, he starts speaking, saying something about not wanting to give in or something (but it's a dub line, so yeah)

Some people think he was actually dead when he had the genki dama.(I hope I spelled that right.)Majin Cell wrote:. Omega Shenron made a fool out of Goku in SSJ4 without even trying, yet his attacks don't effect Base Kid Goku even when he's really putting power into his attacks.

I don't mind if things take their time, assuming the series is good. Especially if that length helps establish the characters or themes or whatever. But I don't care if GT is a short bad series or a long bad series... I think it is bad and that's the aspect which needs to be remedied.Xyex wrote:Well, see, if it *had* been longer, and they'd spent more time on things, it could have easily been more interesting.I honestly can't comprehend this. I wish it went by fast for me, I really do, but it's more like watching paint dry.
I doubt length is necessary to establish anything, unless you think they crammed too much into every episode. I don't think this is the case with GT. The proper way to deal with it would be to remove all the crap from the series, and spend those 64 episodes doing something meaningful... you get your extra time to elaborate on the good parts, and I get the completely uninteresting garbage removed. The only problem is, what's left to make interesting?

For evidence that length is unimportant, I only have to look at my favorites. One Piece is at something like 420 chapters now, with no end in sight. But it never bores me. As long as I find out how it ends before I die, it can go on for another thousand chapters. But then you have those series that should have ended forty volumes ago. I won't name names. Rumiko Takahashi.
At the moment, my favorite series is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I'm not saying this lightly. It's only 14 episodes long, and even before it was over, it established two of the deepest characters I have ever known. So yes, I can say that length means nothing.

The funny thing is that I'm suprised Toei remembered Vegeta kept his rationality when he first transformed into a Oozaru. Because he did the exact same thing in GT. Weird thing is that they can strangely remember events that were chronicled in the anime and manga years ago (Th e dragons being created from certain wishes, Dr.Gero , Freeza and Cell in hell), yet they forget about real recent stuff (Buu, Gotenks, 'Mystic' Gohan, Gogeta, and Dying while Dead).Duo wrote:Don't forget the fact that he didn't actually look at a moon.Rocketman wrote:'Getting tail pulled out by Kais' and 'granddaughter bringing him to his senses'?desirecampbell wrote: Um, 'Brutis Ray Gun'?

Thank you. I was starting to think I was the only one who didn't buy into this "Dur Vegeta cheated!!!1" garbage.Rocketman wrote:'Getting tail pulled out by Kais' and 'granddaughter bringing him to his senses'?desirecampbell wrote:Um, 'Brutis Ray Gun'?Rocketman wrote: Vegeta doesn't cheat any more than Goku did.
Er... huh?yet they forget about real recent stuff (Buu, Gotenks, 'Mystic' Gohan, Gogeta, and Dying while Dead).
Buu and Gogeta are plainly in the series, and Gotenks was very specifically mentioned. Mystic Gohan... ehn, we already know from the Buu saga that he slacks off in times of peace. Same thing happened here.
The "dying while dead" thing was only mentioned once.
Well, sorta in his defense..I think that what he meant about Gogeta is that his personality is drastically changed. He went from "Enough...now die" to "I like to make confetti pop out of my hands! Tee hee!"
Anywho..I liked SSj4, and the original ideas that they, in my opinion, failed to execute well.
I dislike the way ideas were carried out (as stated above), and character changes that weren't necessary or out of character.

One idea i really wish they they would've executed better was the Shadow Dragons. I mean, they could've been awesome villains but they were mostly just weak and stupid looking. The only Dragons that were any sort of a challenge(Other than Syn Shenron) were Nouva and the Ice Dragon. The first four Dragons were just pitifully weak. I honestly try not to complain about GT too much, but, when i compare it to Mr. Toriyamas work, i just can't help but notice how bad it really is.
It is impossible to improve upon perfection.
Speaking of GT coming back onto cartoon network, it isn't anymore. DBZ Garlic Junior Saga is playing.
Even though I dislike GT, I would've rather seen something new from that than the same old DBZ episodes that I've seen a million times.

I like gt, but not as much as the other shows. Could Neko Majin Z be considered a "Toriyama closing to Z?"
Just as in Rurouni Kenshin, the manga ends on a happy note, with Kenshin having a boy. But in the anime, the original creator left so they made some movies that show Kenshin dying, which didn't make much sense to me, just a s gt has a lot of plot holes...
My question is, is Neko Majin Z a Toriyama ending to the series? Or just a parody.

Eh. I'm Canadian so I don't get it but I've heard that Cartoon Network isn't exactly perfect.Kel wrote:Speaking of GT coming back onto cartoon network, it isn't anymore. DBZ Garlic Junior Saga is playing.

Personally, I'm more inclined to say that, they didn't actually remember. It was just more convenient to do it that way. Of course, I could be wrong.Eclipse wrote:The funny thing is that I'm suprised Toei remembered Vegeta kept his rationality when he first transformed into a Oozaru.Duo wrote:Don't forget the fact that he didn't actually look at a moon.Rocketman wrote: 'Getting tail pulled out by Kais' and 'granddaughter bringing him to his senses'?
