It's like... 2 wigs chopped, wire frames for the spikes, 10 hot glue sticks, 2 full cans of hair spray and 2 days nonstop work. It makes her 6 inches taller and it's pretty heavy, but it looks great!!

I love your Gohan costume. I don't cosplay but if I did I'd be a Gohan-machine. Good work

(I really like how the white, fabric-fluff thing looks in your costume. I've seen pictures of other costumes that have looked really choppy. Almost like they were wearing a bib or something :? )

Lol, my cousin and I used to do the fusion dance in my aunts pool. You and the Goten cosplayer did a great job though. I love the boots you made for the costume also, they look very authentic.

(I'm a huge Gohan/Goten/Trunks cosplay fan... also Pan and Videl but we never see them  )

Well, I'm not sure where I can find a Videl, but I do have a picture of a Pan to share with you. I got to meet her, too; she's pretty nice. :3

I have to say, much kudos go to almost all the cosplayers here. It's so nice knowing that there is indeed some decent Dragonball cosplay! (I've seen a few too many fans walking around wearing foam hats and crappy body paint. It's quite disturbing. D: ) And the Goten cosplayer at the beginning of the thread... is AWESOME. I so wanna be able to do that with my hair! That so owns. <33
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

I NEED A NEW SIGNATURE D:

Jerseymilk...you are so nice ^_^.

anyway.. I managed to get a really craptastic pic of me in my Cell game Gohan cosplay from the masquerade:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v620/ ... MASQME.jpg

I can't even tell you how many people mistook me for a boy in that one.

And this is from a year ago, me as short hair Videl - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v620/ ... ngirls.jpg

yeah I know the hair is inaccurate, it went limp during the day, and I didn't think to put on white makeup back then. The Pan actually has bangs, her bandana just slipped forward ;_;!

Jerseymilk... you're from Ontario?! Do you go to Anime North?

cough, what the hell?? You're kind of hot! WTF!?

Though I have to nit-pick the inaccuracies there: Videl would never have a purse. :P

Wow O_o thanks you guys.
desirecampbell wrote:Though I have to nit-pick the inaccuracies there: Videl would never have a purse. :P
LOL!! Oh you're right, none of them carry any bags now that I think about it. Just capsules maybe.

@Kristiann: I made those boots a long time ago so they're not perfectly accurate, but I'll tell you basically what I used and did to make them!

Materials
- thick, sturdy black flip flops
- flexiboard or craft foam/board
- black piping (for the ridged toes and heel)
- yellow (or whatever colour) fabric
- clasps
- lots of hot glue & a glue gun
- needles and thread

- I started out with the flip flops (I recommend getting a size or half a size bigger than your actual foot), and cut off the toe holding piece. Those'll be your shoe soles

The hardest part is to make the boot shape. You can get flexiboard or craft foam at any Michael's... I used flexiboard which is a fibrous sheet that is thin yet sturdy. It's not spongey like foam.

Diagram: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v620/ ... x/boot.jpg

This diagram should explain it all....!! Make sure you measure how tall you want the boots to rest and how long you need to make the flaps. Glue gun can be used to put the piping on, otherwise it takes way too long. Hopefully, if you need anything else explained you can PM me or something ^^. You could probably come up with a much better way to make these!!

I was supposed to go this year, but unfortunately couldn't afford it at the time. Hopefully next year I'll be able to make it though. At least I can get my 2006 "con fix" from AC3 though, since I live in Ottawa and all. :P

I really like your SSJ Gohan and and your Videl is adorable.^-^ One of the best I've ever seen. Your costume is really well made. Looks sharp. 8) Oh and I also like the Pan and Chi-Chi.

Your diagram is really helpful. I need to have similar boots for my Zangya cosplay that I'll be making for next year, so I'm pretty certain I'll be using it as a reference.^^

Oh god, that fusion one was quite horrible (no offence):

1: You took more then three steps.

2: You stuck your finger out too much.

3: IT DIDN'T WORK!!! (OK now I'm just being silly)

Actually I think your whole post is silly. You're criticizing and complaining about a ridiculous looking technique(created by a man that I'm sure always had that in mind), for a 10 year-old series aimed at 12 year-old boys. I swear these posts have to be the height of "geekdom incarnate".

There are times when anime fans really need to come out of their little world, step back, and take a good long look at their line of thinking. :? (Oh, and no offence)

Yes, I'm doing the whole thing, blue skin, big hair because I'm apparently a masochist.>> Well the hair's definitely the one thing I'll go to someone else and commission a wig for. There's just no way I'll be able to style a wig well enough myself for that character. I may even collapse under the weight of it. @_@

Anyway, found some more awesome cosplay pics to share!

Cell:
