I'll be going to the showing at Reston Town Center in VA.

Never thought this thread would end up getting this many posts. Anyway, it looks like this movie won't be playing at the Edwards at Greenway, which is my local theater. What other Houston theaters was this movie listed for again?

CULRPITS?! KANZENSHUU!

For real though, please don't do this. Not at a premiere event with fans who are likely very excited to see their preferred version on the big screen.

I figured you were joking the first time I saw you mention this. Am I incorrect in thinking you're serious?
Well, I thought it would be fun. But I suppose you're right that it's more appropriate for a showing where everyone in the audience has seen it multiple times and is fully acquainted with the movie's quirks. Perhaps we should file this under "maybe later".

Posted this in the other thread, but just in case:

Quick tip if you're looking to purchase tickets on Fandango- I was checking the showtimes/prices for the nearest theater to me and it only showed dates up to August 7. If you swap the 7 for a 9 in the url, though, you can get the Saturday listings. I've yet to purchase my ticket, but it seems you can purchase those Saturday tickets now by messing with the url.

I was a little anxious before I figured that out (I doubt I could have made the other screenings), so I just wanted to pass the tip along to anyone else that needs the Saturday times. I'm sure most of the folks around here are far more computer literate than I am, but I was quite pleased with myself when I figured that out. :P

I'm still holding out hope for more listings to come. The site says more theaters are still being added, which better be true since the Northwest is currently embarrassingly underrepresented here. When fucking Montana has as many showings as Washington and Oregon combined, there's got to be more coming. I suppose I could do the one in Cornelius...kinda out in the boonies, but if nothing shows up closer to the city then I guess that's where I'll end up going!

Going to my cousin's to definitely see it August 6th. Might try and see if I'm free so I can go to the one close to me on the 5th, or after the 6th and see it again on the 7th.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

It appears that AMC has finally picked up "Battle of Gods", so if you were someone waiting for that (like me), go check your local theater. :D

Now to update our in-house theater map... again.

This changes everything! I am so hoping for an AMC to be showing Battle of Gods near me! However i must say that i am having a great deal of trouble finding any evidence AMC is involved at this time, not just with my theater but any AMC at all. I wish and hope you're right, not trying to down play this.

Yeeeeessss, the latest update brought a couple more theaters to my area, including one just a few miles away :D Lloyd Center it is! Having trouble actually buying the tickets, though, since the link from FUNimation's theater listings is...blank. And movietickets.com and Fandango aren't showing the newest theater updates yet, so I might have to be patient a while longer before I can get my tickets. But at least I know I'll have the chance to see it nearby. Just about one month more of waiting!

I'm probably going to see it at Carmike 14 in Dover, DE. Hopefully showings at a closer theater will pop up, but driving an hour and a half isn't too bad.

I'm not especially fond of the film, but maybe the English cast and overall theater experience will help me see it in a different light.

I'll keep this brief since I don't want to drive the thread off-topic, but yeah, sure! PM me as the debut gets closer.

I apologize in advance for my geographic ignorance, but how far away is Dallas from Houston? If it's not shown in Houston itself, then since FUNimation is based in Dallas, I'd be shocked if it wasn't shown there.
I live near Houston, Texas. The drive is about four hours.

Just found out I have a showing pretty close to me but I don't think I'll be going. Now if I hadn't seen it already I probably would of, even would of drove a hour or 2 if I had others going with me. But I would of left disappointed. BOG is a decent watch at home movie/special but it isn't what I was hoping for from a full length movie released years after the main run of a show that still has a good size following around the world.

AMC added the movie to their website, and I've been finding quite a few of their theaters carrying it across the country. Obviously not every AMC theater is carrying it, but some are. You'll just have to look at the ones near you.
