Alright, so this tumblr blog thing again.
A LOT of the best stuff I got has been put up now. I'm still scouring the internet for better versions of not only a few of the images posted, but also some REALLY shit quality versions of stuff I've been looking for better scans of for quite some time now.
I decided to post a "hit list" so to speak of the most major images I'm looking for (in non-horrendous quality obviously). Anyone here reading this who already has better versions of any of these or is somehow able at some point down the line to come across any of them, please by all means submit them to the blog. Also if you look through the blog itself I have marked down among a fair few of the images posted within it that I'm still on the lookout for bigger/cleaner quality scans of some of those. Anyone who has nicer scans of ANY of those marked images already posted or is at some point able to find them, again please feel free to send them in.

This is a "clean" poster version of the same image featured on the cover of the "Dragon Ball Z Hit Song Collection 7" soundtrack CD. I do have a very nice quality scan of that very cover...
...but cal me greedy, but I've been hoping to find instead a nice high res scan of the mostly text-free poster image.
Similarly, this is a moderately okay-ish scan of the cover image for the "Dragon Ball Z Hit Song Collection 14" soundtrack CD. It too like the Collection 7 image has been also used for posters and wallscrolls:
The poster/wallscroll version however is a
smidge cropped off on the sides you'll notice. Still a nice, large, high resolution scan of either of these versions would be much appreciated.
A really cool DBZ Movie 13 poster that should be a pretty familiar sight to longtime fans from back in the day.
Another very recognizable wallscroll/poster image of Goku and Bardock. Weirdly difficult to find such a popular image in better quality than this.
A lovely and very iconic image from a DBZ Shitajiki (pencil board). The version I have here IS pretty good quality-wise, but the linework on it is so impressive and sharp that I still don't feel 100% comfortable with posting this one as is. I'd much prefer a still bigger scan of it, but haven't been able to find one yet. There USED to be very, very large scans of this online long, many, many years ago in the 90s, so if anyone has access to one, you know what to do.
Another fairly popular image used on posters and Shitajiki pencil boards. Not wanting to blab on too much earlier in this thread (nasty habit of mine), I was being a bit glib in an earlier post about my knowledge about the 90s popularity of pencil boards: obviously they were a big deal in Japan as merchandising items among children and teenagers (the larger importance placed on schoolwork/studies there likely plays a factor here no doubt), and the anime industry being what it is (particularly in its 80s and 90s "golden age"), anime Shitajiki became sometimes very limited print-run collectibles.
Some of the VERY best, most gorgeous, and in a lot of cases most recognizable and iconic artwork for a LOT of classic anime series however were produced and used for these boards (and were very often re-used for posters, wallscrolls, calendars, and assorted marketing imagery as well). Dragon Ball/Z was obviously no exception to this, but unfortunately a LOT of very nice quality scans of Shitajiki from way back in the mid 90s have been lost or heavily diluted over time and are very, very much more difficult to come across these days.
Some of them that were much more common to find in the old days are now very rare and hard to come across (not to mention in some cases pricey when you do find one), making it harder for someone today to re-scan them again. I myself used to have at one point in the 90s a TON of very nice scans of a bunch of them, but a great many of them were unfortunately lost to a virus my computer got hit by in the very early 2000s. I've been posting what bits of them I still have left over on the blog, but their increased rarity online over the years since then has made tracking down good quality scans of them MUCH more difficult than it used to be once upon a time.
This really badass SSJ/SSJ3 Goku and Vegeta poster I've seen come in two flavors: a "clean" one as seen here, as well as one with a frame and a logo:
Either or both of these in better quality would be greatly appreciated.
One of my absolute all time personal favorite Shitajiki images of Goku. Seen with either a white boarder/background like above, or a blue one like thus:
Again either or both of these in infinitely better quality is a must.
Another popular Shitajiki image. The Cell and Boo arcs easily saw the most and some of the very best of these, as the popularity of anime Shitajiki's really hit probably their all time high in the 90s.
A fabulous Cell games poster. Seen blurrier but less cropped here:
Promotional poster for the first Super Butouden game. The image of Cell on the right is used in another promotional image for the game that features a different drawing of Goku standing in front rather than on the opposite side (that was used for the game's box art, and which is already scanned and up on the blog in very nice quality). Another very sought after image by me: any images used for the SNES fighting games in general are probably some of my highest priority finds for this collection.
Promotional poster for Super Butouden 3. As you can see its the same image used for an ad for the game that someone already posted (in very nice quality) earlier in this thread:

The Goku one has also been seen around elsewhere, most notably in the instruction manuals for a lot of the SNES games like Hyper Dimension and whatnot. Getting either a better version of the above isolated shot of Majin Vegeta or that Goku would also be cool.
A beautiful DBZ Movie 12 poster. Seen in at least two versions: the one here, and also one with a gold trim/boarder around it like so:
Again folks, either or both. Also much, much more rarely seen than either is a version that just has Goku, Vegeta, and Gogeta with a plain white background:
I'd prefer the full version with all characters present, but I'm just being (perhaps a bit OCD) thorough here.
I haven't been around this place too much since I left awhile back, but I poked in a small handful of threads here and there and I somehow or other remember seeing some people marvel at seeing this image used on a box for a bootleg/fansub tape because they had never seen this one anyplace else before. I had: it was used for this poster right here.

A VERY well known, iconic Cell-era shot that was seen EVERY-fucking-where back in the early/mid-ish 90s. One of my most regrettable losses to that fucking early 2000s virus, this image used to be very much findable in MUCH better quality than this, but sadly these days this godawful tiny little version is about the best I can scrounge up. HUGE kudos to anyone that can help dig this one up in respectable quality.
Seen in the first post of this thread, and again probably one of the best known and most iconic images of Future Trunks/the Trunks special from the old days. I think just about anyone and everyone who's even vaguely into DB/Z knows this one, and once again, there were once much, much better quality versions of this floating around on the internet in the mid 90s. No longer as much it seems. Again, huge priority find.
Really cool Movie 12/Gogeta poster (always got a kick out of that wonky romanization there). Was a fairly common sight way back when, but not seen around as much anymore.
Ugh. I've absolutely ADORED this image since my earlier years in DBZ fandom. Once more, that same friend from way back that got me into anime/DB used to have this poster and once more I was very jealous of the fucker. This is seemingly nigh IMPOSSIBLE to find very much anywhere anymore.

Still not exactly ripe for tumblr, but again any upgrade for this image would be immensely appreciated.
Another fine shitajiki/poster image. Again Cell and Boo eras in particular had countless of these, almost all of them obscenely pretty.
Yup, one for original Dragon Ball for a change. Albeit this one made WAY after the fact during the GT days (as is obviously apparent by the more GT-ish art style). Still a nice image.

Another incredibly beautiful and once-fairly popular shitajiki image. Thing about this one is I'm ALMOST positive, like 90% sure that this one is only a black and white image as that's how its just about always been seen, but there's a SLIGHT possibility that there may be a full color version of it floating around out there somewhere. I THINK I have some vague, cloudy, half-forgotten memory of seeing a color version of this someplace way, way, waaaaaay back in the mid-90s, but I can't exactly be totally sure on that. Take that with a huge grain of salt. Still, would be a great find either way, and it looks incredible even as a B&W image.
A very well known Vegetto image that should be easily recognizable to just about anyone. This one tended to always be on the lower-quality side even way back in the old days, but still there were (and hopefully still are) somewhat better versions out there.
Another at one time very, very popular fusion image. Can be usually found these days in blown up large size, but with grainy, heavily pixilated resolution
Again, not to sound like a broken record, but a very, VERY widely seen and widely recognized Cell-era image. Like the above fusion image, is today generally found in bown up, heavily pixilated all to shit quality. Is REALLY nigh-impossible to find in anything resembling decent clarity.
Cool poster image. Not much to say except a better, higher res one would be great.
Pretty nice Movie 6 promo image. Again, hard to come by in general these days.
Ah this one. This one like all the others is hard to get a hold of in nice quality in general anyway, but what's slightly extra-irritating about this one is that most of the scans of it out there these days tend to have the Saban-era "gradient" DBZ logo on it. Not only a nicer quality version, but one without the early-dub logo on it would be especially welcome. Its not that the logo is all that visually offensive in and of itself, its more of a matter of principal. This blog/collection is meant to reflect pre-FUNimation DBZ imagery.
Another Boo era pencil board. This one here is in plenty decent enough quality, but still isn't quite big enough. I admittedly have always had something of a weak spot for a lot of the incredibly bizarre, wonky original logos and font styles used in a lot of the mid 90s Boo era Shitajiki images, and this compass-like one here is no exception and one of my favorites.
Another one, with the SSJ3 Goku re-used from the above pencil board, but the rest is very different.
Alright so: remember how earlier in this post I said that anything SNES fighting game-related was an especially high priority for me? Well in this instance for Hyper Dimension, what I'm after are big high res, clean, full body shots of the Goku, Vegeta, and Vegetto images seen here and used for the game's box art and most promotional images. I've seen all three of these re-used in plenty of ads and wallscrolls and assorted ephemera, so I KNOW that somewhere out there these exist.
I even have a version of the Goku one that's pretty big and on a clean white background, save that it's only from the waist up.
These without a doubt exist out there in SOME form.
This was a popular one to use on a lot of middle to late 90s DBZ website headers. SREDBZ being probably the most recognizable one from the time.
Another nice Cell era pencil board. Again the quality on this one is a lot better than a lot of these others, but I'm greedy and still want better.
A fun Super Boo/Gotenks Shitajiki. This one's somewhat fuzzy and is cropped off on the right side pretty badly. There's an uncropped version that I've found but its in TINY microscopic size and even way shittier resolution. Again, love the weirdo font/logo experimentation on a lot of these boards from the Cell and particularly Boo eras.
A very well known, well traveled, and often used SSJ Goku image. Bizarrely harder to find in decent resolution than you'd think.
A once fairly popular Gotenks scan from way back. Not the greatest art-wise, but an interesting layout all the same.
A Boo era Goku board, vaguely reminiscent of the above Gotenks one. Much nicer art though.

Yeah this one. Also used in the first post of this thread. Again, very well known and hard to find not pixilated and shitty now.
A REALLY, really lovely and beautiful Gogeta/Goku/Vegeta one for Movie 12.
A very, VERY rare, and seldom-seen (even back in the old days) Movie 13 promotional image. Would be a very, very prized find indeed.
Boo era poster. I wasn't kidding when I said there were a metric fuckton of these. 95% of them are all pretty damn nice though.
These two I've been on the knife's edge of just posting on the blog, albeit marked of course that I'm on the lookout for bigger, better versions of them yet, as I certainly am. The top one especially, as you can see its noticeably cropped off on the left side there where Gero's face ought to be.
A wonderful and very Journey to the West-inspired poster/wallscroll of Goku and Gohan. Again, iconic as all hell and just about any and every DBZ fan ought to be plenty well acquainted with this one. I've had embarassingly shitty luck finding it in non-craptastic quality, but this one I'm probably the most confident that someone out there will come through with a better one (if I don't do it myself even).
This one is obviously in big, beautifully high res quality. Why don't I just post it then? Its BADLY and blatantly cropped the hell off on the sides. And uncropped version (still in at least comparably high resolution) would be nice.
Cool DBZ Movie 2 promo image featuring Dr. Wheelo. Again would like something a tad bit higher quality than the version above.
Another Cell era pencil board. The shitty quality of the scan doesn't do this one justice: it looks a LOT nicer when it isn't a blurry mess.
Very popular, well known, and fan-girled over Mirai Trunks image. Anyone that ran one of the countless zillions of Trunks shrines throughout the 90s likely had this one featured prominently.
Hey a Saiya-jin arc poster this time for once! A fairly nice one too. Let's help give more of the other arcs some play on the blog and get a hold of this one if possible.
And back to usual with another Boo arc one. This one's really nice though as it features Kaioshin and Kibito prominently.

Another pretty recognizable Movie 12 poster.
Another iconic Boo era group shot that was again used a TON on a LOT of mid 90s DBZ websites and is now a colossal fucking PAIN to get in non-junky quality. That's why I started working to recollect these and start up the blog folks: to rectify shit like this.
Movies 12 and 13 had a LOT of promo art. Another more rarely seen one.

A rare, very little seen early Cell/Jinzoningen arc poster. Not a huge favorite of mine personally, but would still be nice to have for the same of completeness.

Another Boo arc one. More fun, weirdo text shenanigans. Boo in particular looks really good here.
A VERY odd, seldom seen image. Unlike virtually all the other images here, I actually have no idea where this one's from (a magazine promo, pencil board, poster, calender?) and don't have any memory of seeing it around much way back when. All the same, a better version of it would be welcome.
Might as well segue from here to a few of the most notable "silly/happy" pieces.
At one time a very, very, VERY well known image. Very well drawn too.
I'm not as big on the cute/silly stuff in and of themselves as most (to uh, put it mildly), but a few of these were definitely very well made.
Early Saiya-jin arc. Very colorful and pretty even I gotta admit. Seen as both a poster as well as pencil board variations (the above is the poster version I believe).
These two come VERY close to being good enough to make the blog, but I'd still like if they were at least a LITTLE bit bigger. Both were once again VERY popular and widely seen in ye olden days of yore.
Two more that come VERY close to making the cut. Just a BIT bigger would be cool.
This one needs little introduction. Again SO close to being big enough to make the blog.

I think this one's from some kind of book (Daizneshuu?), because its ALWAYS been cropped off at the left like this since as far back as I can remember. Think anyone'll ever come up with the full version?
Another very rare image. Super chibi stuff from the Freeza era.
Two different alternate versions of the same image. I'd much prefer the upper one with the space background personally.
And last, but certainly not least the single most important one of them all that I want by far and away the most badly. The "white whale" of old promotional DBZ images if you will. Its technically/sorta already been posted here in a sense:

Aaaaaaaand... *whew*. I think that was more than exhaustive enough for one day. I've got a few more miscellaneous odds and ends besides the above, but that's far beyond more than enough I think for one post. I know this was a whopper of an image-heavy post, but I know there's a ton of people out there with who knows what kinds of lost gems siting on their hard drives. I'd love to someday see these all collected together in some manner of "restored" quality. That is ultimately the goal of the blog.
