No, ABED is not alone, I hear it as well. Nothing about Nadolny's performance sounds natural and Vollmer's performance as Bulma is just as bad, which is why this actually does seem like Bizarro world, to borrow the phrase from ABED, because I don't know how anyone could feel differently. It feels like you're ignoring something that is. Good acting is difficult to argue--either they can act or they can't, there isn't much of a gray area and subjectivity all but falls by the wayside. That's why when you say something like Nadolny and Vollmer's performances are good, and that Colleen's acting as Goku is poor, I'm baffled, because that is simply not the case. That's like saying that Pepperidge Farm doesn't sell cookies, or that paper doesn't come from trees.ABED wrote:No, you didn't offend, and maybe I am, but I don't know how anyone doesn't hear that and go "it's so unnatural," much less think that's great acting. Vollmer is among the worst actresses on the show. You can argue all you want whose voice sounds better, that's up to you. But when you argue about a person's acting skills, that's where I become greatly confused. Colleen is a good actress. Regardless of how her voice sounds, there should be no debate about whether or not she can act. She is a far better actress than Nadolny, who is not a very good actress, at least as far as Dragon Ball is concerned.
