Well, in that quote Ginyu says Goku could be like them, "a super-gifted warrior, born with a mutation…". The "super-gifted warrior" (超天才戦士/
chou-tensai senshi) part could also be translated as "super prodigy warrior" or words like that. Maybe that's what this person is talking about? But they're definitely wrong if they're claiming nothing is said about mutation (突然変異); that's clearly in there.
Shoryuken wrote:Has God ever referred to Son Gokū using the old fashioned そなた (sonata), as I seem to recall seeing him using it when he is first introduced. Might just be my nebulous memory playing tricks on me though. Any clearing up of this would be appreciated.
When he's first introduced, he repeatedly refers to Goku as おまえ/
omae (in the manga at least). He might use
sonata later on, but I don't really think so.

Hence the Viz translation, which they give as "God of Martial Arts".
Do they? Because I remember them translating it as "invincible old master", which I always thought was a real stretch. Is this something that's different between the various Viz editions?

Can someone translate Whis' line where he said Beerus could destroy the solar system? I'm mainly interested where Whis says "in an instant" because someone told me it's more accurately translated as "with surprising swiftness"
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

Does anyone have a scan of the Goku's Evolution section of Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy comic adaptation where it establishes that Ssj Vegetto might be even stronger than a Super Saiya-jin 4, the exact translated version of the text, as well as able to write out a non-translated version of the entry? Not a translation or anything, but the original block of text in a copy and paste friendly format for anyone to run through something like Google Translate?
Sadly, I don't own the book. Someone posted a scan from the Chinese edition of it in this thread several pages back, and that's all I've ever seen. According to some guy on a Chinese DB forum, the Japanese edition says the same thing, and that's the best I can offer you at the moment. It's something I've been wanting to eventually confirm for myself, but...it's not really too high on my list of priorities. I still haven't gotten around to buying the actual GT special on DVD, let alone the anime comic version. Sorry. I'll help out if anyone else has a scan of the Japanese book though. I can even type up what the Chinese edition says, if you'd be interested in that.
Since the "debate" with the same guy popped back up again, I would like it.
Here's the Vegetto portion for you if you needed it.

And in movie 8, Goku says that Janemba is the strongest ki that he had ever felt, and then he proceeds to go SSJ3 and rip him apart. Goku doesn't seem to refer to himself when making these "strongest I've ever felt" statements.
And if you want to be even more technical, Goku has never sensed Vegetto, as neither of them have ever existed at the same time.

Herms - Could you please translate the exchange between Goku and Piccolo on the last page of chapter 471 (three bottom-left panels)? Would be greatly appreciated (apologies if you've already translated those frames).

The translation I have available has the conversation in the bottom-left 3 panels go like this:
Panel 1
Trunks & Goten: Hemmm...
Goku: I know it's hard for you to start training right away, but we don't know how much time we have before Babidi locates us.
Piccolo: We are going to use the Room of Spirit and Time. Huh...
Panel 2
Goku: You can only use that room for two days in your entire life. We may need it later.
(2nd speech bubble)It's okay, they can learn the Fusion much faster.
Panel 3
Goku: Let's go!
(2nd speech bubble) Watch closely!
Are you looking for getting the statement about the RoSaT's limitations getting clarified?

Thanks.
No, just was wondering what language was used. If Goku believes the RoSaT is unnecessary, since he knows how powerful the fusion is, that likely means he projects SSJ Gotenks will be able to handle Fat Buu.
I am a bit confused about the RoSaT though. How did Piccolo enter the room again with Goten/Trunks? I guess this means he only entered *once* while training for the CG?

It's implied he only entered once, but that's not really important. I think the point they are trying to get across is that you can use the room for up to 48 hours, but not more than 24 hours at a time.
Goku had previously used the RoSaT for around a month as a child and then almost a year during the Cell Arc, but was asked to take another turn inside once he said he didn't think he could beat Cell. Goku never said he couldn't go in for a third time, he said there was no point in putting his body through that again.
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

Movie 12 isn't canon to GT and it's implied Goku and Vegeta remembered everything Vegetto did

You're missing the point. The point is that Goku has made these same statements before, and they meant nothing.

Made by the same people who made GT. So, again, you are missing the point.
Also, punctuation is a thing. Please use it.

There is a better way to say what you're saying, so please either do so, or (preferably) leave the moderation to the moderation team.

SSJ4 Furanki wrote:How would you guys translate the Muten part of Roshi's title? I know Roshi is already more or less Master (which makes the Master Roshi name redundant).
It's a bit hard, because as Toriyama says in DB Forever, there's no particular reason behind the name, and he just came up with it as something that "sounded suitably renowned and powerful". Mu=martial, Ten=sky/heaven, so...Martial Heaven? As far as I know, there's no particular preexisting meaning associated with that character combination. It looks like Toriyama just stuck two impressive-sounding characters together to get his desired effect of a name that sounded "renowned and powerful".
Worth noting is also that 天 can be used to mean a god,
Deva or
the ancient Chinese god of the heavens. Thence a possible translation of "Muten" (武天) could be "God of the Martial (Arts)".
Thank you guys (Julian too, but if I put in anymore quotes I would've gotten a message saying there are too many)! Would've checked the Viz volumes, but I don't own any of their English Dragon Ball stuff. As far as manga goes, I have a few chapters from the US Jump and have been buying some of the Japanese Full Color volumes, here and there.
Most of the translation questions I've been asking are to figure them out for fandubs, so I can have them be proper adaptations that sound as natural (or at least not too clunky) as possible. Which is why in clips I've called Kaioh the 'Galactic Overseer' despite the literal title being King of Worlds. Will probably adapt Muten Roshi as something Godly Martial Arts Master and Kame Sen'nin as the straightfoward 'Turtle Hermit'.

ADMIN NOTE:
People seem to only be aware of this "scan" or somehow think this only exists in Chinese, and often link this particular forum post. This indeed originally comes from a Japanese publication, as has been outlined here in this thread.

Alrighty, so English translation:
Merging With Vegeta!
After Goku and Vegeta use a merging item to merge, they become Vegetto! They can furthermore become a Super Saiyan, making them Super Vegetto! After the two strongest people merge, they become the greatest master in the universe! Perhaps even stronger than Super Saiyan 4!
[Big blue text at bottom] Use the power of justice to eliminate evil!
Chinese version typed up, if you want it:
跟達爾合體!
悟空跟達爾用合體器合體之後,變成了達洛特!還可以變成超級賽亞人,那就是超級達洛特!
最強的兩個人合體之後,變成宇宙第一高手啊!說不定比超級賽亞人4還要強!
用正義的力量消滅邪惡!
