It's a pretty awkward workaround, though. Freeza denied the existence of Super Saiyan, but still feared it. SSGod should be no different. Not to mention, Beerus dreamed of Super Saiyan God. Prior to falling asleep, the Oracle Fish only foretold of a challenger.Mewzard wrote:Beerus did seem to know of both Freeza and Super Saiyan God at the time, maybe that's where Freeza learned of [SSGod]. But after talking to the Saiyan people and only hearing of regular SSJ, maybe he just dismissed it as something made up or imagined. That's what I would imagine the best answer is until Toriyama says something definitive.
I first saw Ooishi-bot last night and got a kick out of it. I guess there's just something about cartoonishly-drawn robot-people.UpFromTheSkies wrote:Ooishi-bot should be there too, working on the next chapter of Dragon Ball SD, which Goku would think it was hilarious, Vegeta, however, not so much.
It's justified in my opinion. Vegeta swore up and down that there were no other Saiyans besides himself, Goku and Gohan. Every attempt to rationalize the discrepancy sucks, because you can't rationalize a blatant mistake as anything but.FindKenshi wrote:In fact, the reaction to Tarble seemed even stronger than the reaction to Goku's mother, for some reason.
Calling it a mistake is a little harsh, though. At the time, Son Goku and Friends Return was just a fun little special.
It was his mention in Battle of Gods that pissed off so many, and I'm not convinced that that was Toriyama's doing.
