Different people score these things and rubrics may change so there is no meaningful statistics to be made by comparing scores from this year to last year to 10 years ago. Many people are involved and thus each time having a possibly different team of people scoring makes it unlikely that you can compare apples to apples between every Dragon Ball score. Take it for what it is and listen to the actual review not that it even matters because everyone this interested in Dragon Ball can get the game and see for themselves and I bet it will be a good experience. VegettoEX already explained the futility of over analyzing or criticizing the board that made the score, it shouldn't effect much.

I like the timing in Jojo's ASB I'm rather adept at the combos.P5BLDV wrote:There's a massive difference between watching something while relaxed and playing a game which requires precise timing, reactions and execution. 30 FPS fighters like Jojo's ASB are irritating because of the long delay between input and response. It sucks when you try to take advantage of an opening but by the time the input is registered that chance is gone.TheAldella wrote:Well people still watch the anime and that's animated at 24FPS. What's the big deal. You all know how jarring the Raging Blast cutscenes look at a high frame rate.

Good for you. The translated review: http://www.shonengamez.com/2015/01/28/d ... su-review/
Pretty impressed with the 15 hour story mode and the 100 or so hours of collecting drops estimations. Not bothered by the repetitive missions comments; for a Dragon Ball game, I wasn't expecting a lot of extremely diverse and unique missions anyway. Don't generally give reviews much weight anyway as I like to go by my own opinions. The descriptions seem pretty positive though.

Exactly....what game isn't repetitive nowadays? Grinding is essential and part of the gaming process! Lol a dbz game will always be repetitive it's just fighting, not espionage. Lmao Baka! The Gohan wrote:The translated review: http://www.shonengamez.com/2015/01/28/d ... su-review/

The story mode is 15 hours on average!? And there is over 100 hours of extra content to gain on top of that.!? Holy shit. Xenoverse is treading into MMO territory. The Gohan wrote:The translated review: http://www.shonengamez.com/2015/01/28/d ... su-review/

The reviews themselves reek of a "They Changed It, Now It Sucks" attitude.

There is good and bad repetitive gameplay. Bad is when you play a game and feel like you've done the same thing for the 50th time for no rhyme or reason and you wonder 'Why am I doing this again?!' However good repetitive play is when you work towards a goal or feel rewarded for repeating the same task. Take Monster Hunter, that game is heavily repetitive but it's all to work towards one goal, new armor, new weapons in order to fight something better and then you repeat the same process with that thing. From this review, it seems xenoverse has a little bit of both and ya know! I don't mind that!Sigh-Ya-Jin wrote:Exactly....what game isn't repetitive nowadays? The review seems overall positive though so seems like this will be good.
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

Are we talking about playing a competitive game or watching an anime you have no control over? I can't believe you gamers are so ignorant.TheAldella wrote:Well people still watch the anime and that's animated at 24FPS. What's the big deal. ^Implying Raging Blast is competitive.
That's certainly the case. They give the game shit for having repetitive missions yet give Raging Ass, Battle of Zzz..., and even fucking Ultimate Tenkaishit higher scores.Lord Beerus wrote:The reviews themselves reek of a "They Changed It, Now It Sucks" attitude.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

It is just boring. No Dimps games or Spike games were 30 FPS.

I don't know why it just hit me, but the second DLC pack is probably going to be entirely Revival of F themed.

I think it'll be movie themed In general.
Leaning more towards characters and missions than outfits and special moves.
