Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.
Goku was actually doing some damage against Janemba as a SSJ3, and maybe could have won if it weren't for Janemba's incredibly broken reality warping abilities. On top of that, Goku was scared to confront Super Buu, while he fearlessly took on Janemba. That says a lot.
I'd imagine Super Buu would absorb Janemba via Candy Beam.

According to a statement from Toei, transformed Janemba is even stronger than Hirudegarn (a character who stomped Chao Gohan, for those keeping track). SSJ3 Goku got the shit kicked out of him by Janemba, so I don't see reason for that statement to be a contradiction.
Super Buu is doomed unless he starts hurling insults.
That statement was removed. And didn't a producer say the next movie villain Goku fights is always stronger than the last? Goku was also uber haxed in Movie 13.

Incorrect. SS3 Goku put up a decent fight against Janemba. That statement is very much contradicted by the writer of both movie 12 and movie 13 saying that every foe Goku fights is stronger than the main foe of the last movie.
Janemba vs Super Buu
Super Buu wrecks Janemba on part of being way the hell stronger than SS Gogeta.
If Freeza in his 4th form can be at SSjG tier after four months of training then would Freeza beat Buuhan in his second or third form after training?
He could train for ten years and then go to his final form. Fat Buu would still finger-flick him.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

He does? Weren't both of them on par with SSJ4 Goku?
Oozaru Baby was waaaaaayyy stronger than SSJ4 Goku. He would have killed Goku if it weren't for Majuub fucking up his insides.

Trunks is the strongest of the bunch, but if they want to Goku and Piccolo could team up to take him down before battling each other.

Super Janemba was officially cited as stronger than Hirudegarn.
HIrudegarn beat Gohan.
Gohan beat Evil Boo.
Thus Super Janemba BADLY beats Evil Boo. The only question is whether or not he figures out that Boo has to be entirely engulfed by a last and eradicated to be put down.

Uh, I've never cared to compare GT powers, nor watched the show closely with an intent to do so, which means... *flips a coin*
Super 17 wins.

I'm going to reserve judgment on this and any similar Revival of F related matchups until I've actually SEEN the film.
Tenshinhan (22nd Budokai; permanent Kaio-ken) vs. Goku (BoZ;no weights)
SSJ Kid Trunks (pre-ROSAT) vs. FPSSJ Future Trunks (Cell Games)
Pan vs. Chi-Chi (23rd Budokai w/knowledge of ki and equal power level) *%100 GT logic-free*

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

— Does that "permanent Kaio-Ken" come with likewise permanent bodily stress and energy drain? If so, Ten's practically guaranteed to lose. If not, he has a good shot at winning.
— They're similar in power, but the elder Trunks is more skilled, experienced, and all-around capable in battle. So he wins.
— Taking away the GT Logic that would force Pan to lose by virtue of not being Goku... she still loses, because her Grandma's older, wiser, and a better fighter.

- Goku wins. But Tien puts up a good fight
- Close fight, but I'd give it to Future Trunks as he is more wiser in combat that Kid Trunks who just loves to fuck around
- Chi Chi, well, kinda stomps Pan to be honest.
