Just a quick point. If I recall, Goku had to ask a few "gods" to get off the entire planet he was about to fight on so they wouldn't get hurt by accident. That should say something.

Which pretty much just reaffirms that it's not just a matter of Goku vs Superman, but which Goku vs. which Superman.

But at their best (SSj4 post-GT Goku vs Pre-Crisis Superman), I still can't help but say Goku.

Given that GT Goku and P-C Superman both has the incredible ability to Always Win No Matter What, such a fight would either go on forever, or result in the implosion of the universe.

Don't forget everybodys favorite thief Lupin the 3rd.I think he may be a little bigger than Goku in Japan.I mean he's been around since 1967 and they still make New Movies and TV Specials about him.

Not to mention other famous older characters like Kankichi Ryotsu (from Kochikame), Speed Racer, and Tetsuwan Atom (a.k.a. Astro Boy), and more recent ones like Luffy. All are pretty much the equivalent of characters like Superman, Bugs Bunny, and the like over here in the West.

I don't know about Speed Racer. He was one of the ones like Voltron, who was bigger in America than in Japan.

I doubt Red ki is the same as red sun radiation. But in all seriousness, all Goku would have to do is blow up the sun and Superman's done. Kryptonians didnt have powers on their homeworld because they didnt have a yellow sun. They get their powers from yellow sun radiation. But then again, if Goku blew up the sun, he'd be screwed as well. Dont use the Kryptonite argument, even if they had Kryptonite on Goku's earth, it wouldnt work on Superman. Kryptonite from other dimensions doesnt work, it has to be from his earth. Read Infinite Crisis

Well, blowing up the moon didn't seem to do much

Doesn't matter anyway - as I've said before, Superman's "solar charge" doesn't drain immediately. In fact, it lasts for more than a thousand years (even through heavy fighting).
