A funny line would be in the episode "Gohan attacks" It was between Freeza and Vegeta.

[Freeza] I'll be right with you, but first I must exterminate the mighty midget! (Gohan)
I am neither Goku nor Vegeta!!

Have you all forgotten Dende's infamous: "Come on guys, don't piss off the god of love!" There had never been a curse word spoken in the history of the televised dub... and when it finally happens... Out of all the characters... It comes from Dende??

It's been awhile since I heard it, (don't have dvd) but Goku's speech before going SS3 was pretty good.

Wow, my thread brought the Third Season dude out of his shell... I feel honoured right now...

Okay, back on topic...

Yeah, I agree. Of all the characters, Dende? And what "God of Love" is he reffering to? Porunga? But since when was Porunga the God of Love? I think he was "God of Dreams" in the original, and I don't remember the dub that well... can someone clarify this? :?

[Goku]: But there is one way we can beat him...
[Vegeta]: Forget it!
[Goku]: (Pouty voice) I didn't even say what it was yet, spoilsport...

I believe Mike was responsible for making the "Kamehameha dump" line popular. :x :P

Goku: Vegeta's going to be a Daddy!

I really do love this line. Schemmel's Goku is generally hit-or-miss for me; probably miss most of the time actually, but he sometimes has these moments where he really nails a line and what Goku is about, and I think the line above is probably the best example of this.

The classical "Not until the fish jumps" line from movie 7. I was totally not excpecting that at the end and while i did not laugh out it put a smile on my face and was a good way to end the movie. :D

More like the worst conceivable line possible. They took a terrible cliche completely changed it and made it even worse.

They used wordplay and broke the forth-wall. To me, it's the closest they've ever been to Toriyama's ideals. (There was that 'poo' joke in GT though...)

Goku: We'll get to that. First, I wanna teach you a thing or two about Super Saiyans.

Majin Buu: Super . . . Saiya-jin?

Babidi: Don't bother with it. I never asked you to explain anything.

Goku: You're going to love this. Trust me. What you're seeing now is my normal state.

(*transforms*)

Goku: This is a Super Saiyan. And this:

(*transforms again*)

Goku: THIS is what's known as a Super Saiyan that's ascended past a Super Saiyan. Or, you could just call this a Super Saiyan 2.

Babidi: Ho-hum. What a useless transformation. So you've changed your hair, so what?

Goku: Just wait . . . and this . . . is to go even further beyond!!

The only thing about the whole incident that bothered me was dub Majin Buu's use of "Super Saiya-jin" at the beginning. Clearly, they did it to sync his mouth movements with dialogue, but if they did it there couldn't they have done it for the entire series? I mean, WTF?

When I heard that line for the first time, I immediately thought, "I'll bet this is one of those lines that everybody hates." But I never found a whole lot of that; people seem to love the friggin' thing.

EDIT: I do like the fish line, myself . . .

I'm confused, is this a thread to make fun of the dub or acknowledging the good lines. If we're "allowed" to praise the dub a bit, I can quote some good lines if you want. Also, I saw movie 7 in Japanese then in English and the dub ending is better imo. Silence could be funny but brief, concise dialogue is always better.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?[quote]Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.[/quote][/size]

You probably would've laughed at it in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

It's a thread to acknowledge good lines. If it's my post that's confusing you, then I only mentioned the whole "Super Saiya-jin" thing because it's one of the stranger things I've seen.

Definitely, if you like the dub, say something here.

The original purpose of the thread was to give your opinion on good delivery by the English cast.

Sean Schemmel's "Goku getting hit in the balls" scream was great also. Very realistic.
