Destructive Willpower

Post by Eclipse » Sun Nov 19, 2006 3:29 am

Um...hey guys. 4th time at it, huh?

Anyways, this is Destructive Willpower, my 4th AMV. It's a kickass Goku tribute (After all, I can't just leave him sitting on the sidelines)

This idea came to me as quickly as waffles come to my tummy. I knew I wanted to make a video dedicated to our favorite Super Saiyan. I just wanted to make something that could stick out. So I wanted to focus on his indomitable will to be defeated. You see, Goku could never lose. A lot of villains tried, and nearly succeeded. But the thing is, Goku wants to win. He wants to defeat his opponents because he just wants to, and in times of crisis, wants to prove that he can defend his loved ones. And as Vegeta discovered, when defending those you care about, you can have amazing reserves of strength.

So I focused on that. I used good ol Crush 40. While the majority of their songs has been used for Sonic videos (Some of them pretty good in fact), I decided to try it out. I picked out 'What I'm Made Of", which seemed to get my message out pretty loud and blaring. Awesomeness in fact =)

Anyways, guys, enjoy :)

Download

And I will not be uploading it on to YouTube. Yet.

Downloading it now!

Edit: Watched it!

Wow great work Eclipse, I really enjoyed that. And usually that type of music isn't really my thing, but you really pulled it off. I like how you used scenes that matched the lyrics, it really made the video have meaning compared to just some punch em up vid. The mix of clips was great and the quality was just perfect! I think my favourite part would have to me the Goku/Nappa fight scene, because I like how it looked to that part of the song. Great!

Heh. Forgot to watch this when you first posted

Anywho... not bad. Timings could be tighter, those lip syncs could be a bit better, and the song makes me thing of the Transformers movie (Yeah, I can't explain that one either). Not that it was cutting at inappropriate times, it's just that the cuts were always off my a millisecond or two - and I notice that now after watching Mike and Meri's videos.

Other than that - it's phenomenal. You even got that spin kick against Cell. that's my favourite hit in all of DBZ.

Hehehe, you said "tit".

Good video, Eclipse! There were A LOT of good Goku transformation scenes that I enjoyed. The only thing I can complain about was some of the edited footage that was used (like Goku's blood being black). Aside from that I think it was pretty good. I'll put it in my ipod as soon as I find a better video converter. 8)

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Very nice work indeed! Took me a while to get around to watching this but I can see it was definitely worth it eh? I've got to say the song suited perfectly. There were a few scenes in the battles you covered you missed that would've been really good in there. Other then that it's excellent!
