This sounds like an awesome idea. It's gonna take some time and planning though, I'll gladly participate and audition once this project is embarked upon.

By the way, for auditions, are we to imitate FUNi or Ocean VAs, Japanese VAs, or just be ourselves for certain characters? And is movie 13 the 100% gaurantee? I think it'd be a great idea.

You really should just be yourself and get the character's personality right more than anything. No two actors are the same and you need to somewhat make a role your own. Hence why I always laugh when people complain about a replacement actor not being the same as the original. They're not a clone!

It's virtually impossible to be 100% the same. As we all know, this was well illustrated by Funi's awful attempt to have all their replacements try and do exact recreations of the Ocean Group voices. Please trust me on this, as this is coming from someone who went to theater school and *was* an actress for a while.

Okay, time to adress some issues.

The "getting in trouble" aspect.... nah. I seriously doubt we have to worry about that. Desire put it pretty well.

Yup. That about sums it up. If we wouldn't get sued for AMVs, we're probably not gonna get sued for this. It's no big deal, and only we would probably ever see the end result, unless it ends up on YouTube eventually, or something.

As for what to dub, it looks like just about everyone agrees that it should be a movie. The idea of doing 13 is good, with the large cast and all. Especially since it'd probably end up better than FUNi's recent dub.

There's a few others I thought we might consider...

Movie 7 - Also a large cast, but with Mirai Trunks.

Movie 8 - Same, and someone would get to be Broly, which would be interesting. Plus, it has a magnificent "LET THAT CHILD ALONE" opportunity.

Movie 9 - Same reason as 7. Large cast, including Trunks, etc...

But I'm in agreement so far that 13 would probably be best. Dubbing Gotenks would be the most interesting aspect of that, I believe.

For sound equipment...

Condensers are pretty expensive, but I got mine for around $100. The catch to them is that you also need a phantom power supply, but they sound great. I have an apex 435, and it sounds awesome for the money. I also have a dynamic mic, the peavy pvi2 ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=271370 ), that also sounds great. I'd highly recommend that one if you don't have the cash for a condenser, probably the best bang for your buck (but you need at least a small mixer for this one too.

And now that I think of it, sony's usb headsets for the ps2 also sound decent. That could also be an option.

Wow... the scary thing is... I've had several fantasies about Kaboom, Steven Perry, Mr Piccolo, and I doing exactly this.

I think it's a great idea. I could audition for Gohan. My voice is pretty high-pitched.

I was just thinking about the (un)lucky one to do Goku's voice.

That fellow would have a lot of work ahead of them. I also wanted to know if there is any sort of layout of how to break a project like this down. We're seven years too late...

Ignores the fact that this is the second time this week that a boy(?) said they fantasize about me.. o_o...

Another reason why Movie 13 would be an ideal choice; Goku doesn't do or say much.

We could design some sort of time chart, breaking down what songs, VAs, and sound effects go where- for every chapter.

We should do a preliminary first, but I need to get myself a microphone.

I know places where they sell computer microphones in the ten dollar range. If you look hard enough, you can find some places too. Do you think we should go all out when buying for this project?

I'm interested in this. I'll do any voice that would sound funny with a Mexican/Spanish accent. I guess that there might be an extra role that needs filling perhaps? If not then I'll just go get a lawn chair and watch the action.

They're small roles but if I do one of these, I'll give it 110% (Which is impossible, mabye just 100%) This is feeling a lot like the school play in fifth grade. (kissing scene, aww man)
