It seems more orange than I remembered...
Too bad, I liked the ultimate uncut colour scheme, especially with that neat opening. Oh well

I see what you mean. This was "new" on November 12. It still was a interesting thread. Secrets revealed, friends team with foes, screen caps wars, and all of that good stuff. This was my e-soap oprah. I guess this should be updated when something actually happens. I'm sure it won't be a necropost by then. 1000

So did Funimation releace any new pictures since I last came here, or are they not bothering and hiding in the dark away from all of their fans?

I still don't dig that box art, but I'm likely to be looking at the boxset from side on most of the time, so whatever.

Does anyone know the status of Bruce Faulconer's music? Is it being replaced entirely for this new DVD release? i.e. from the Namek saga onward?? If so, I ain't getting it. I love the man's work.

He is being paid something, I believe. Whether that's just a contractional thing or they're actually using his BGM is unknown.

This boxset only goes up to episode 39, which is the trip to Namek (before fake Namek) I believe. No word yet on anything about the next boxsets. And you only need one question mark

Hey, Bruce Faulconer is still a lot better than whatever garbage they've put on the Ultimate Uncut Editions and the First Strike movie set.

EX mentioned that nonsense in a recent podcast.

Also, he's better than Mark Menza. Menza's stuff was alright for some movies like Return of Cooler, but with GT, there's no way it worked for the whole series. Way too monotonous. Always the same junk.

At least Bruce Faulconer's stuff managed to show a range of emotions and didn't make the whole episode feel like a recap.

I like some of Faulconer's stuff ("Super Saiyan 3 Powerup," particularly, always sends shivers up muh spine...), but I'm not going to argue that it's better or worse than any other score, since I'll get yelled at no matter what way I do...

Well this thread should be stickied because there is probably going to be moments with no information and then BAM a lot of it. I actually don't know where Funimation is going with this because I'm sure that they have realized the mostly negative response from fans on the internet about the widescreen. Either way we will be seeing more than one release because each box set contains a saga of Dragonball Z. There will be releases after this but it could be months apart.

Well when the new stuff comes out, that's when a new thread should be made (and possibly sticked). If someone new was to see this thread, they'd have to go through 30+ pages to get what was going on so they wouldn't ask older questions which would flood the thread even more. If new stuff comes out, someone out of the 1500+ members will comment about it; no worries.
