Yeah, that's what I thought. . . but I wasn't sure when the manga Akira came out. I thought Akira looked older. :?

Yes it's true! Akira copied Akira!
Wikipedia wrote:The manga originally began publication in 1982 in Japan's Young Magazine and finally concluded in July 1990. The collected manga totalled over 2000 pages and was released in 6 volumes by Kodansha. In 1988, it was published for the first time in the U.S. by Epic Comics, a division of Marvel Comics. This colorized English version ended its 38-issue run in 1995. An English version of the 6 volume collection was released in the USA in 2000 by Dark Horse Comics.
Mr. Toriyama isn't as original as I thought. :x Vegeta's character design... It's based on Akira! Nooooo!

I don't see how it's bad. Akira is awesome.
Where's the beef?

That's Tetsuo Shima, not Akira. :P Though I doubt Toriyama used that specific event for the implied scene in his work but you never know.

EDIT: And might I add that Tetsuo's mind isn't being taken over. It's from his rapid growth in power that's causing the massive pain and visions.

That's what I thought. I knew Tetsuo was way too cool to be based off another character. He's the original badass villain afterall. (He's cooler than Vegeta anyway. He's "more bad ass". :P )

In Reboot Season 4: My Two Bobs (DVD only) there is a whole game that is basically a Pokemon Stadium type game and Enzo's opponent is the spitting image of a mix between SSJ 2 Gohan (Cell Saga) and SSJ chibi Trunks. It's an absolutely hysterical movie. Anyone that liked Reboot should check out that DVD.

I remember that - then there was the obligatory 'flying jump kick through the air' that takes too long, then little Enzo/Megabyte says "stop trying to hit him and hit him!"

Priceless.

Reboot is awesome! :D Isn't Bob's voice done my Goku's old voice actor? (Ian Corlett?) Bob's awesome. X3 Reboot has also done a Sailor Moon gag, which can be viewed at this site: http://www.toonamiarsenal.com/ , in the Sailor Moon section of the Downloads section.

Also, somewhere else on that site, there is a clip of a Cartoon Network commercial. It's from way back, 2001, and it has SSJ Goku and Vegeta attacking the "chigga chigga" mouse. I LOVED that commercial. That commercial is viewable at the same site as before, in the Classic Toonami section of the Downloads section. On the Classic Toonami page, when you go down to the very last downloadable in the General Promos list, you shall see titled CartoonNetwork.com Toonami ad. It is funny. You must all watch it! :D

Yes he did. Well more specifically, Corlett started voicing "Glitch Bob" towards the end of Season 3. The "original Bob" was voiced by Michael Benyaer. :)

This is probably quite insignificant, but here goes...

My brother went to Gamestation, and a game caught his eye (probably because it was only £1 :P). So, I took it. Temporarily. :) I noticed some Dragonball-style attacks, but most importantly the ability to let your mind be taken over and then turn blonde. Maybe it's got something to do with DBZ? :?

If I ever see it in a coin-op arcade corner, I will play it for a bit, then sue.

Because it deserves it.

According to www.toonami.com 's video clips section, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is going to make a reference to the Chaozu VS Nappa battle this Saturday.
I also go by "veemonjosh".

This should be a sticky, because DB keeps getting referenced.

On Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Bobobo fired Don Patch in a cannon and Don Patch grabbed onto the enemy, "Over." Then they proceeded to do a Chaotsu's death from the Saiyan Saga tribute.

Bobobo: What!? Don Patch, what are you doing?!
Don Patch: *turns toward Bobobo; pink cheeks* I'm sorry, Bobobo. Forgive me. *glows and exploses*
[insert dramatic shots of all the other characters]
Bobobo: Don Pa~tch!
[After smoke clears, Don Patch is floating there with Nappa's facial hair and mean expression. He says something in a weird accent and then gets kicked from behind by Over.]

The dubbers didn't support the parody, but then they never do. I don't know if it's that they don't get it, or if there could be copyright laws against this sort of thing.

And I'm sorry I didn't have my camera at my hip this week.

Bo-bobo also called his "Magic Cloud", which was basically Goku's cloud, but with a face on it.

And the scene right before Over's transformation seemed suspicously like
the scene right before Frieza's final transformation.

And speaking of which, there was an enemy in a previous episode that had two henchmen, was attacking a village, and he was sitting in a hoverchair.

Sound familiar?

I think I missed the "Magic Cloud" thing, because I don't remember it at all, but I do remember the two henchmen and the one in the middle with a hoverchair. When they were in the shadows, they looked just like Freeza, Zarbon and Dodoria. :D

Also, whenever Don Patch and Bobobo (and sometimes Jelly Jiggler) "fuse" (and they say they're using "fusion"), Don Patch turns into a round candy and shoves his way down Bobobo's throat. Then they turn into a random character.

Actually, I have a scene on my cell phone the one time they fused and they had multiple voices! Trouble is the video file is too big to send to my email. Damn.

Well, I'm sure it's been stated, but I'll go for it. Did anyone else notice Chaozu in Naruto? There's a bunch of masks in the background, and one of them is a Chaozu mask.
