Just the prefferred spelling on this board and its webmasters; while the name that most fans are familiar with, Turles, is semi-canonical, it's still a poor translation of Tullece. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Funimations re-release of movie 3 will change his name and we can be done with that spelling once and for all.

Oioioi... this proves my lack of knowledge concerning recent events. D:

I meant DBZ movies 1-3, but obviously now they've just got two, and apparently they're already dubbing or have finished the dubbing Movie 3. Which reminds me... I hope they did a better job with Tullece's voice than they did with Tapion's (I've concluded now that Tapion didn't sound all that bad, but he really is a little too gruff/hoarse-sounding)... >___>;

EDIT: Uh... wow... the forum changed my spelling of Tullece's name... how weird... o____O;;
That happened to me aswell, I spelt him "Turlece" and it got changed after I posted it.

Why should any of us care about extras or supplemental material, when it would be presented in Funimation's version of the series? And why does it matter if there are extras or not?
Uh....because it's a DVD release? And that there are customers who pay the retail price of $24.95 per volume may want them?
Seriously though, on most of the DVDs for anime series that're other that DB/Z/GT, FUNimation goes all the way to provide them with good chunks of supplemental material. But FUNimation doesn't even seem to bother to extend the same courtesy towards DB-related DVDs.

But... who actually pays $24.95 for the DVDs? Best Buy and most other places offers only $16 for the DVDs. Walmart has this movie for a dirt-cheap $11. So... again, who are these people that actually pay $25 for the discs? It's funny how this keeps getting brought up whenever there's a rant about the discs, even though no one actualy pays that much.

I got the movie and I am planning on watching it this weekend. So far I have read the usual nit pick posts about the dubs. Meh, I am a fan of the Funi Dubs I grew up on them, and I am also a fan of the original japanese Dragonball Z eps(only complaint is Son Goku's voice in Japanese UGH!!! what a girly voice).

Ditto, I watch the JP version at least once so I can say my opinions in a semi-non-biased way. After that, I usually just watch the dub, at most, with JP subs if I feel like comparing script changes. But really, I don't give much of a blankety-blank about script changes as long as we know what the original script was meant to be.

It's another thing altogether when you see dubbies going around saying the H word and Bardock as a doctor crap. But seriously, the only changes FUNi does nowadays is replace generic lines like "watch out!" for some kind of comic relief line. Though (getting back on topic), I would've liked Goku's line of "If I can't do it... who will?!" to have stayed as some kind of nod to the original JP title.

What they removed that line, I can't believe Funimation removed Goku's quote "If I can't do it, who else can?"

I dont think that they called the attack Dragon Fire. I think Goku said Dragon … FIRE!!!, as if he was launching the dragon. It just another case of Funi trying to be different from the Japanese version, but I prefer Dragon Fist.

Ditto. Everybody does. Seriously, the "Dragon Fire" name is retarded and there is no reason for it, espesially when FUNi got it right in Budokai 3 and GT.

As I promised, here's two screen comparisons between FUNi's release and the Dragon Box release.

FUNi's releases are as ugly and as dark as ever.

I noticed that aswell, also the sky seems to be much darker when Goku was with Hoy while they were searching for the Dragon Balls... unlike the Dragon Box movie which the sky was much brighter.

FUNi's quality = Your dirty car.

Dragonbox = Your car after the car wash.

Well I don't know, from the pictures that were provided here, I like Funi's over the dragonbox's. The colors seem a bit faded, I'm mainly looking at the Gotenks one for an example. Again this is my opinion on it, Funi's is cheaper to and easier to get so...

People, please stop quoting large batches of images from other peoples' post. We know which images you're referring to. There's absolutely no need to make this page of the thread scroll endlessly because you're all quoting the exact same two images over and over and over and over. Thanks!

Honestly EX, what was the point of re-naming my thread? I had the title in quotes.

Every once in a while I go through and clean up thread titles. Not everyone knows what Wrath of the Dragon means or refers to, so I just elaborated the title and made it a little more specific. It's not like it's that big a deal... don't take offense... :).
