Occupation?
What do you guys do for a living, or what do you study, if it's not too invasive to ask?
I'll get the ball rolling. I study film production.

Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

Re: Occupation?
I'm a student and I've just officially finished Year 11. I'm currently on my study leave going into sixth-form, where I'll be studying English Language, Sociology, History and Politics, as I want to be a writer/journalist/author.

Re: Occupation?
I'm at university, studying filmmaking and screenwriting. And job-hunting. My ideal post-graduation occupation would probably be writing for TV.

Heh. Well, I haven't even officially started sixth-form yet, and I still need to finish a couple of GCSE exams (none of which I've really revised for, being terrible at revision), so who knows?Insertclevername wrote:Wow nice dude, you've got a lot of things going for you with all that education.Piccolo Daimao wrote:I'm a student and I've just officially finished Year 11. Re: Occupation?
I'm currently unemployed, but from September 2006 to November 2009, I worked as a concrete lab technician, until the recession hit. Also, I worked as a seasonal production associate and material handler at a Goodwill outlet from August to October 2011.

Re: Occupation?
I change ceiling fans on Sundays for three hours for damn good teriyaki chicken and rice.
But on weekdays I play Doctor Drake Ramoray on the hit television soap opera Days of Our Lives.
The rest of the time I'm looking for an actual job.

Currently unemployed, but I did get my degree in Information Technology a while back. I need to find a way to put it to good use!

Re: Occupation?
I still haven't made my way to college just yet (soon, hopefully), so for now I'm but a lowly hotel room cleaner. But hey, a job's a job, and the bosses are nice.
I'd love to get another job like my first job though.

Best. Job. Ever.

Re: Occupation?
I'm in my last year of school this year.
Dunno what the hell I want to do for a living though. I'll probably end up with a minimum wage job for the rest of my life.
I'm not a very motivational person I'm afraid and hardly anyone can get me motivated.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"
Re: Occupation?
I'm a second year student studying Commerce and looking for a job that I can fit around my university schedule. Unfortunately I have a terrible schedule this semester, so going terribly so far.
But I've almost finished this semester anyway, so I'll have 2 months to look for a job before getting my new schedule.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: Occupation?
I don't like my job that much but it's better then nothing since at least I get paid. It sucks that I hardly get any hours after we got a new boss.

I teach math at a community college and am head of the math department for a small tutoring company. I also do some personal off-the-books tutoring for a little extra spending cash. I also make YouTube videos, so I make a little money from that.

I'm currently in College studying ICT, but have a part-time job in a Private Hospital.

If you don't mind me asking, what section of ICT did you get your degree in?Bussani wrote:Currently unemployed, but I did get my degree in Information Technology a while back. I need to find a way to put it to good use!
