Video DragonBox Reviews: If I did it, would anyone listen?

Post by MajinVejitaXV » Mon Apr 24, 2006 9:54 pm

So, I'm thinking. Mike has kicked my ass on delivering content on the movie box. Kanzentai has kicked my ass...well, at everything else.

BUT

I have one idea that might be cool. What would you guys think about my doing a quicky (5-10 minute) review of each box, with video footage, menu footage and so forth? If there's an actual interest, I could do one box (either DB or DBZ Vol. 1, probably the latter since it was released first) and see what you guys think and go from there.

Input? If you guys want me to, I could probably do one sometime before this weekend. And please don't steal this idea, it just occured to me and with work and my life, I don't have time to do it tonight/tomorrow (plus, my 22nd birthday is this week so its gonna be a bit hectic).

I would absolutely LOVE a review of each box - the longer the better. I'm an information whore, I love to learn (that sounds really lame out loud).

I'd love to see a review about the dragonboxes - and how about an explanation about how to set up a TV properly? It seems complex, and important to the whole experience.

I vote 'yes!' :D

Well, if you're taking requests: "Give Desiré your Dragonboxes."

Well, I can try.

Yes on 24! What?

Seriously, I think its a great idea, a lot of people don't have these boxes. Even the people that do have these boxes would probley watch it to, I would.

I would most definatly not watch it. If anything I would turn of the computer, unplug it, and throw it out the window before even considering subjecting myself to any form of review, no matter how thorough or insightful. Nay I say to you.

I would watch without any hesitation. But you gotta go the distance and review every single box in detail! j/k :) I really need to see how great these Dragon Boxes look on screen.

If you did this, you'd be a GOD! Just make sure to go easy on the compression, we wanna see the greatness of the footage! Also getting a rundown of the extras would rock! Or maybe play the extras with intros by you. Maybe DragonBox vs. FUNi of the same scenes would be cool too!

I wouldn't watch it, having been in possesion of Dragonboxes before, but I think this'd be a good idea.

Yeah I would love that especially since I do own all the Dragon Boxes and have quite a few Funimation discs, I wanted to do comparisons myself for archiving purposes but never got round to it.
I'm still transcribing tekst-versions to hold next to my dragonboxes, and that takes up a lot of time, so until then I won't do anything else.

I say YES !!! I may not be able to get all of the Dragon Box material (though I am planning to get the DBZ R2 singles and possibly the Movie Dragon Box), so just to see what I've been missing would be a dream.

I think some menu and video footage would be grand... maybe even possibly comparing them to FUNi's video footage (side-by-side or something)

Whatever you decide to do, I'll watch. Good luck, and thanks for sticking it out for the Dragon Box-less DB fans.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I'd watch it.

I'd watch it. Sounds interesting and there's no way I'd ever get to own a copy myself. Even if I did I have no region 2 dvd player.
On hiatus.
