Goku meeting Goten?
Hmm. Between the original animation on the
Crash Course DVD and the nicely redone version in the flashback sequence of
Generations' "Until We Meet Again", I'm not sure which one Meri would like to pull an image from. If you'll let me know, I'd be glad to help.
In the meantime, here's a placeholder from off the net:

Holy crap-tards that was a good episode. Love when Mike talks about Freeza.

And so will I

Heyes. Listening up to the releases section so far and am lovin' it. In response to your li'l plea for a screenshot, I remember the same moment being flashbacked in the final GT episode. And considering who you are, it's a safe bet that you
do have this ep

.
EDIT: (Unicorn)! Lemmy beat me to it!

Oh, snap. I'm such a fucking moron. I totally forgot that scene is in the "
DAN DAN..." flashback in the last episode of GT. Duuuuur.
Image added to page.

Still, you were the one who actually remembered that EX
has that disc! Considering how often he remarks on how the ending of GT makes him cry like a little girl, I'm surprised that I didn't pick up on that and simply remind him that he had a reference DVD all along . . .

Here's a higher quality pic I just took of the image Lil' Lemmy posted earlier.

Loved the episode. I actually really liked Buu because he was so innocent. He wasn't evil, he just didn't know better, and that was a nice twist. Super Buu was sort of annoying, but Kid Buu was great (maybe because he couldn't monologue). And I am a huge Fat Buu fanboy (he currently has a special place on my keychain). Just seeing him smiling and clapping and laughing is such a nice break from Cell and Frieza (not that I dislike either). Speaking of Frieza, I loved your analysis of him. He is such an interesting character because, in the end, he was TERRIFIED of Goku, something I don't think most other DB baddies could say. Frieza knew from the minute that Goku turned Super Saiya-jin that the fight was over, which is why he so desperately tried to stretch it out and pull his "blow up the planet" ace.

Very nice podcast you guys! I enjoyed it a lot. It was too bad though that you guys didn't go in dept with the Artificial Humans, but I understand why...
The topic was very interesting and I liked Meri's top 5 this week! Oh and it was great that you guys talked some about Lunch. Hurray!

You know whats odd. (referring to Alberts E-mail) FUNimation stopped the Dragonball VHS releases but continued the Dragonball GT and movies VHS. Whats up with that?

Woah, so you're saying that that was new footage? I never new that!
When I looked at the newly added number one pic for this week's top 5, it just made me smile. That's never happened with me and DBZ before, so it was pretty epic for me

.
And kind on that topic, I found
this floating around on youtube. If you look at the opening credits, you'll see that a certain VegettoEX was the original poster of the clip. Eeew, does this take you back, EX (or maybe it's some other sicko trying to steal your online identity)?

Why the "eeew"? Video quality? Confused.
Yeah, it was me that captured that. Way back before FUNimation was even DOING the series, yet. Raw VHS copy of the episode (as seen by the Japanese credits).

Yeah, the general video quality. It's just so darn fuzzy! But raw video footage-- yep, I get it.

Lunch was really cool. It's too bad she was forgotten

That's why her signifigant inclusion in Budokai 3 was so fun!
I loved the one where Vegeta meets her XD

That particular moment in the Tenkaichi Budokai where Son Goten goes up to hug Son Goku is non-canon. However much later when Goku's about to leave to the afterlife after teaching the kids the fusion dance. Goten does indeed
hug his father. Either way, It reinforces his more fatherly moments. Thanks for the podcast once again.

Another excelllent podcast! I think Lunch wasn't included in Dragon Ball Z because it is much more serious than Dragon Ball. Pulling out a machine gun (from nowhere!) doesn't seem like the DBZ I know.

I have really enjoyed the podcasts every week! I've been listening to them on a fairly constant routine and I thought it would be courteous to say my thanks to our kind hosts here for taking time out of their lifes to provide us with this useful service.
Now, unto a topic of interest brought up in the podcast which has started me to thinking about future quite possible release problems.
Ok, I have something to say about Funimation's difficulty with releases. I just wanted to point out the thing that worries me the most about Funimation's release problems is whether this entails that they might drop the dvd format in the near future. I know they have a trend with dropping a format when another one becomes available as referenced to in the podcast (by the VHS format being zeroed out in favor of the dvd format during the Red Ribbon Saga release). Although this makes sense in a way, it still was a waste for the fan collecting the VHS collection. I was curious if this means that Funimation might upset a few people by being willing to devote themselves towards the higher format presentation available in HD-DVD or BLU-Ray. Probably not, but I have seen some anime switched over to the new format. I am highly skeptical on what Funimation will do in the future since the original series wasn't broadcasted in high definition sound or video...but with Funi's erratic pattern on releases I have no clue.
However, with the possible hopeful release of the higher quality DragonBox transfer in the near future, does that mean a switch over? I could also pose the question of whether Dragonball will be ported over to the UMD's for Playstation Portables (PSP's). I kind of waiver on this question since I have heard that Sony's portable UMD format has been dropped from certain stores, I guess there might be a good chance that Dragonball will never come over to UMD. Anyways, this week's podcast made me think of what chaos could happen if Funimation did decide to go with another format. It is a scary thought of having to start your collection over again.
