I will edit as I listen.
First thing. The loading screen does lag in the GCN version, but loading is a lot faster.
Secondly, Chopper's thing was on purpose. If you watched the series, you would know why they did it. Basically that is how he hides behind something because he is shy in a sense.
For the announcer, on the disc there is a track where he says "SLOT TIME!" That is golden because of how it sounds. I will upload the audio clip in a bit if I get the chance.
As for Freeza moving slow. You just gotta learn how to use him. That is how it is with a lot of characters. My friend is crazy when playing as Freeza. All the characters play different, and you gotta see ups and downs for each character.

Well, I
have watched the series, and I didn't come to that conclusion right away. Meri mentioned something about it later on (after we had recorded), and yes... it makes sense. But it doesn't come off that way AT ALL in the game. He's so far off to the side that you can't tell he's hiding. It just comes off like a mistake. If they were going to go that route, they should have had him actually hide behind SOMETHING, or keep him centered and hide behind his hooves and run away, blah blah blah.
Oh, and I didn't include your review... I said 1-2 minutes. Your review was 10 minutes. Feel free to post it up yourself as a link.

Yea, I figured it wouldn't be included because my sense of time sucks. As for Chopper being too far off.... my screen is an HDTV... so I see the side that is usually cut off by what is on the sides of the screen.
And yes, everyone hates the slots.
Also for jumping on Giant Jack. I don't find jumping the problem. Just the limited space to jump on.
So my quick review thing:
http://egx.cp9.org/EGXreviewDON.mp3 I think if I removed the cursing....
it would have been shorter a few minutes >_>
And here is my favorite sound clip:
http://egx.cp9.org/SLOT_TIME.mp3 Oh yea

Talk about the narrator mispronouncing.
The only way I was able to hear it was when I ripped all the audio files. You can't hear it while playing the game.

No, it won't work directly on the GCN. You need Freeloader. It is a lot easier and cheaper than to get something to play imports on PS2.

Excellent episode. I'm seriously considering buying D.O.N. now, once I get one of those region-free loading PS2 disc thingies...
As for the #5 spot on Meri's list: here's a placeholder pic you can use:

Great podcast, I think I will hold out on Battle Stadium D.O.N. until the price goes down, As it doesn't seem to be fantastic just good judging by the reviews.

great podcast!
This is off topic but did you get the Japanese version of FFVII DC or the US version, because for once the US version is better then the Japanese.

Gasp! You forgot to say what episode number and date it was before the music started! (Unless you just decided to change it?)
I didn't like this episode so much. I don't know why, but the reviews from other people turned me off. I mean, okay, we heard your review(s) on the game, but then when hear three more reviews. Um, I don't like reviews that much to listen (or read) a bunch all at once.
However, Piccolo teaching Rock Lee Makenkosappo?! I loved it! I actually downloaded it before the podcast, and it made me happy to see two of my favorite characters interacting like that. Plus, seeing everybody do a Genki Dama made me squeal like a fangirl.

I wonder if we'll get a new tidbit of all the D.O.N characters.

I'm in the middle of the episode so far and eh, it's just average for me. I find it pretty funny how
everyone hated the slots game.
Also, the reviews were kinda boring-ish, but I made myself stick it out and listen through 'em. And Mike, did you say, "Don't take my word for it" on purpose as some kind of nod to Reading Rainbow? Just something I noticed... I was surprised that the cheesy little transition music from that show wasn't used.

The little ending description of Namu hilarious when Mike started going into detail about the daizenshuu. "A pretty cool guy" huh? Well, I'm sold!
EDIT: I was kinda surprised that Mr. Satan throwing 16's head to Gohan wasn't one of the top 5. I guess you didn't want two Cell Game moments?

Wow! I forgot there was a podcast today
Still waiting for that
Julian's SailorMoon podcast.
And, anyone check out that Freeza (or "Frieza" according to DON-guy) yet?
-edit-
Uh, "Julian's SailorMoon" refers to SailorMoon (referring to a translation thereof) belonging to Julian
not a contraction of "Julian is SailorMoon". Just wanted to clear that up before someone sends ninja squirrels.

Ah good, this'll come in handy for when I start playing the game again :0 Thanks for all of the information, and now I finally know what the card thingies are for! Also Bryce form Otakugeneration's little inclusion was pretty cool :3
Also I've been playing Super DBZ over the weekend and I'm lovin' it, so thanks for the review on that as well!

I did not make that connection at all, but if Julian did a Sailor Moon podcast (Sailor V/BSSM/PGSM/Sera Myu/ect.) I know I'd toon in. (Ph34r m4 Sailor Moon fangirlness! ... Oops, sorry.)

Hehe, I should mention that the change in spelling of Freeza (or Furiza), even though it's pointless is perfectly legitimate. It's just a way of making the name look more stylish and cool, I guess.
When there is 'ie' or 'ei' in a word, just pronounce the second letter and ignore the first. I remember in one Funimation dub, they Spelled it 'Freiza' on the title screen, which would actually be pronounced 'Fryza'. Shame I can't remember which episode it was or I'd try to get a screencap.

Funimation's Namer Guy: Hey, I've got it! "I" before "e", except after "c". Wow, kids are taught that in school! If we use that on Furiza's name, kids will think DBZ and school are even more mando cool! Neat-o!

About the spanish dub of DBZ movies, the last two movies are for sale here:
http://www.towers-entertainment.com/ and I have emailed them and they have said that they will be selling more soon.
Edit: The only problem is that they sell to Mexico only.

at least they didn't make the same mistake with the mis-pronouciation of 'saiyan' which reads as 'cyan' and just call him 'fryza' anyway
