The site's reputation?

Post by Sun_Wukong » Wed Oct 25, 2006 6:36 pm

Does Daizex have a reputation in the anime fan community? EX seems like he's all high and mighty for running a message board. In reality, do other webmasters take this site seriously? Or does EX feel all powerful because he gets to rule over a small group of people? Like peope at other forums and sites like AnimeNation or ANN, what do they say about this place?

Umm... what?

As for the "reputation" of this site... does anyone care? DragonBall is nothing in the eyes of the anime community, especially these days. What's there to care about me? Or this site?

I run this site because I love the show.

I think Mike cares about his reputation exactly as much as I do.

And that would be "not at all".

-edit-
I guess EX answered himself. :)

Eh? I don't get it.

I can easily understand where you might be coming from with the "high and mighty" business, but I can't say I see it that way. But if it helps to answer your question (just barely), I myself heard a lot of "things" about Mr. Labrie and his so-called dick-tatorship before I signed up for the board that turned out to be either somewhat exagerrated or utterly false.

So generally, I'm not sure that even if he or the site does have an established "repuation" or presence in the general community that it should be given a whole lot of credit; like was once said on Futurama, it's a crummy book of plot holes and spelling errors. We live here and we know what it's like, while most of them are leading off of rumor and speculation. (The rest are probably people who got banned, heh-heh.)

Why, by all technical standpoints-- EX, believe me when I say this with all due respect-- I doubt he cares a whole lot about even what we ourselves particularly think, and we're the people he's online with the most!

He's not losing any sleep over it, at the very least. So why should we?

I wasn't sure where to put this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0214341/boa ... 3#56471653

I was trying to promote the site a little bit, and these guys freaked out. I don't really get it.

I just logged on and read it, I was going to make a post but I thourght fuck it. Who cares about what they say anyways. Most of what they have wrote looks like it has been copied and pasted from somewhere anyways so I didn't even read it all.

It's not even a Dragonball forum either so it's hardly the place for the discussions that are going on anyways. I don't understand the problem they have with Daizex. All you were trying to do was show them a place they could talk about Dragonball.

The main problem there is that they are dubbies and don't like the fact Daizex specialises in the Japanese version. Well anyways someone thourght Daizex was cool and stuck up for it. Way to go tarrin_ever!

Ah I'm finished with that part it's not important.

Again who cares, In all honesty I haven't know him to act all ''high & mighty'' I might not agree with some of the things he has said but all in all he has a good reliable, helpfull Dragonball site. I wouldn't say it was the best but I would say it is one of them.

He also keeps a pretty tight forum, kicks all the idiots out and stupid discussions. It's all Dragonball. Again I wouldn't say it was the best Dragonball forum as there are other people who try just as hard to run and maintain a forum Dragonball related, but I would say it is one of the better ones.
