Movie commentaries

I mentioned this in another thread, but I thought this was a cool idea. Mike, Meri and Julian would all watch one of the movies and record at the same time. Then the listeners would cue it to the movie and watch it at the same time!

I thought it was a clever idea on my half.

Anyways, yeah, I'm seconding this idea. I mean if the FUNi VAs have the right to do one, I think you guys can do one too. The only possible problem with this is that the sound of the movie could make it a little harder for the listeners to umm... listen. Then again, if it's synched up well enough, it wouldn't matter. I guess you could try and make them synch up by having one of you guys say to "press play on your DVD remotes... NOW!" or something like that.

Then again, we've got the moveis episode of the podcast. Still, it seems like you could've done more with that episode.

And as I probably didn't say in the other thread, it would kick ass. But Julian would have to have his movie in sync with EX and Meri's, and EX might be sick of the DBZ movies at this point. It's all up to them if they choose to do it or not.

Maybe just point out all of the plot-holes and stupid things that you find. Or tell us your favorite parts. I mean, good grief Mike your like a fuckin celebrity around. I want my Mike fix.

EDIT: If there was a way to put in silouettes like in the MST3K movies, that would be awesome. XD

Good lord, that sounds brilliant! I'm sure that would finally get me to break down and watch movies 4 and 11.

I say just get Julian and Meri (and maybe Andrew) together to watch a movie, and out a mic on everyone. If it's fun to listen to, put it up - if not, meh, Julian can use it to incriminate you at a later date.

The best way to kick something like this off is with movie thirteen. That movie has enough depth for people to have a decent review, imo. Instead of the movie commentary, there should be some sort of trivia game. You ask questions from the movies like songs used, quotes said, random things like that. I don't know, either way I'm sure it will be fun to watch. I just feel bad the people who haven't seen the movies yet.

This would be really cool to do. They could either do them in order, or from order of the movies they love the most to the movies they hate. Whatever you guys want...it would just be kickass to do!

Awesome idea! I'd absolutely love this! oh, and Mike, I forgot what movie it was exactly but the director doing the commentary left to make a sandwich halfway through the film! XD I think Movie 4 will undoubtedly have a "sammich break".
