Buu question

Let's not start a debate about this again, I just need someone to check the scene where Buu transforms into "kid" Buu. Does Vegeta or Goku say anything about him "getting stronger, not weaker"?

Nope. Goku mentioned "Buff Boo" increasing in power, but when he shrank down to become Chibi Boo, he only mentioned "Yeah, we can take him."

This is from a translated version of anime episode 278, not sure if it's from Daimao's work. I got it from a transcript I'm not wiling to link out, as I'm sure Mike wouldn't like that. Keep in mind, this is from the anime universe, not the manga; if someone gets the exact word-for-word translation from the FUNi DVD and it retcons this, then my mistake.

*Vegeta crushes his Potara in his fist. The Kaio-Shins freak out*

{Vegeta:} You said that like a TRUE Saiyajin warrior.

*Goku crushes his earring too. How rude! It was Kaiobito's*

{Kaiobito:} Are you sure you can defeat this Majin Buu? This is the most powerful, dangerous Majin Buu!

{Goku:} Don't worry, something'll happen.

I admit that it's been awhile since I've seen those episodes and I don't own that volume of the manga, but I remember once hearing something about Kid Buu not being stronger than Super Buu, but his being pure rage and no reason made him more dangerous.

According to Viz, Goku and Vegeta were having a hard time figuring out what was going on with his strength as he was transforming ("Hey... isn't he getting stronger?"), but they seemed confident they could take him once they saw him (And presumably felt his ki as well).

I don't have these DVDs, but if this script says "Saiyajin", it's not Daimao's work.

Eh, there's at least 2 Filler Anime lines where Goku says that "Chibi Boo is unlike all of his previous incarnantes, so far ahead it is unreal..." but that's just the Anime. The Viz manga makes absolutely no mention or implication of Chibi Boo being greater in strength than his previous state - we just see Vegeta become more confident in their ability to beat him.

So before he was more powerful but was arrogant, and since he'd absorbed others was more likely to have other things on his mind. But now he's more efficient.

Oh, good to know - but I was referring specifically to the final 'Super Buu' transforming into 'kid Buu'. Nothing about him being 'stronger' right?

If Viz's correction is worth anything at all, then they weren't sure of his strength while he was transforming, but he seemed weaker to them after transforming.

Well when Buu goes to his "Buff form", Goku comments on him getting stronger (most likely from his Super Buu form). But once he actually becomes Chibi Buu, there isn't a line saying if he was any stronger.

Vegeta makes a comment based off his appearance saying "look at our little friend" which is funny seeing how Vegeta is obviously known for being the tallest person in the Dragonball trilogy.

I have the manga to scan these but my scans usually don't come out too good unless I do it in a different way that usually damages my books, sorry..

But I'll see what I can do! Maybe someone else with vol.26/42 (Gokusoul)can put those pages online..

Why? No one's going to doubt one another on if they're telling the truth or not on what's said, since many others also have the Manga and would correct them.

*Majin Boo transforms into his "buff" form, Goku and Vegeta look on in disbelief*

Goku: H-hey... he's turning into something awfully tough, ain't he?

Vegeta: No... hold on! Look! He's intent on transforming again!

*Majin Boo transforms into his child form*

Vegeta: Look! He's shrunk down quite a bit!

Goku: we did it, huh Vegeta? We may be able to manage something like this!

Yeah, I guess you're right. I'd be nice to have them online for other people to actually see (esp. on Wikipedia). Besides, everybody likes pictures!

Yeah, I've used some pretty wierd terms for the Boo's and various others, but I make a point of making sure people know what I'm talking about. But this one just leaves me with a blank stare.

"Junsui" = "Pure/Genuine". In other words, Chibi Buu.
